Cuttings California Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2012

TPW Co is doing great things and has rapidly become a favorite of mine. Looks can be deceiving. This dark inky blend is NOT Big or Bold. Soft and fruity with a little tobacco. Great raspberry/velvet finish. — 10 years ago

Small Town Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Very jammy, strawberries and raspberries, a little stone fruit? Delicious. Had a glass a day after opening that was also great. Want a case. — 11 years ago

Valpolicella Classico Superiore Corvina Blend 1999

Earth! Fresh cut grass, a little fungi and lots of tannins. Big and bold and perfect with some beef tartare — 12 years ago

The Prisoner Wine Company

The Prisoner Napa Valley Zinfandel Blend

Decided now would be a good time to try out out the 2013 Prisoner. While not as good as the 2011 the structure is different, showing a ton of black pepper and balsamic on the nose with a little bit of violet flowers, and a very lovely, elegant finish. Big bold red and black fruits give way to a lush, black peppery back end. The finish is shorter than expected but still nice. This is still a good wine, just not as good as previous vintages. — 11 years ago

Lot of fruit, little lighter in body, good flavor and color and probably lot of cab in it. — 13 years ago
