2016 Puligny-Montrachet “Les Charmes”Raymond DuPont-Fahn. We purchased a bottle from Lionel Michilin private cellar. It was part of a private dinner hosted by him. This wine was featured on the menu. We loved it so much with the food they served we bought a case. When it was done with we looked for it on the internet and found this one — 6 years ago
Fresh, deep black fruits, complicated by a cool leather musk, and dense mineral finish. The best showing of the lineup at this stage. — 8 years ago
White peaches, white fruits ... beautiful. — 8 years ago
Starts out super aromatic, over the top intensity of stone fruit, white flowers, marble, just a touch of vanilla in the background. On the palate viscosity strikes first, with fruit stepping back, some phenolics bitterness and a mouth-coating finish — 4 years ago

This was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had. The color was so dark and golden that I was worried it was no good, but the nose was all fruit. Not a citrusy wine, other than maybe some orange marmalade, it’s all ripe, waxy orchard fruit & melon with a saline, savory finish. Full bodied and oily in texture. I expected some oxidation, especially considering the color, but this was fresh and fruity all the way. This was a beautiful, honest tasting wine. — 6 years ago
