Another 4th Friday for the books!

Smoked hazelnut on the nose, salted pear and lemon; lanolin and lemon peel on the palate...tart and acidic without being overbearing. Almost sulphuric on the finish. Really impressed. Great bottle

There were some real high velocity white wines on the table tonight, yet the one I think I probably consumed the most of was this one. To me, the 13 Aubert was second by a hair. Classic white burgundy. Herbal, Terroir driven. Hint of banana bread, almond, melon and Asian pear. Very balanced, and finished with nice acidity and rounded structure. This was beautiful all by itself, but I can imagine how good it would be with local cuisine. A baby!

Needed more time that we gave it to open up. Interesting and bright, but still very tight. — 9 years ago

Volnay Pinot Noir 2014

Bright & lively. Slightly tannic, however far outweighed by delicious cherries. A little early, but still stunning. — 8 years ago
