One of the premier young wine makers in Burgundy, a bit of a quiet nose but rich and almost oily on the palate with lots of weight. Minerals, exotic citrus and hints of whipped cream and smoke. — 7 years ago
Chalky and a little funky. — 7 years ago
Needed more time that we gave it to open up. Interesting and bright, but still very tight. — 8 years ago
Might be the best hidden gem of his portfolio. Amazing intensity and purity of fruit. Delicious! — 11 years ago
Not Champeaux but Les Golouts. In any case, a stunner. Wild raspberries, roses, cherries on the nose. The red berries continue on the palate. Beautiful acidity.
The kind of wine that makes you want to cry when you smell it. — 4 years ago
Wow! — 5 years ago
Such length, lush palate, layers of stone fruit, white flowers and minerals. Thank goodness I have more bottles! Now if only I can find the patience... — 6 years ago
A decent Pinot @ £45 that we paired with Mrs Es fresh Angelotti pasta with a cheese bechamel sauce in mushroom, pea & diced pancetta 😍 ⏩ pop over to Instagram for pic or watch video from a few days ago 🎥

Fantastic length, really evolves in the glass. Always toasty, but it goes from lean and focused to almost exploding with strawberry and fruit. — 7 years ago

2016/2/25 this is showing quite well tonight! NSG terrior, savory herbs, soft tannins, elegance floral noise, ripe but balanced — 9 years ago
Vibrant Ruby with aromas dark berry fruits floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh cinnamon spice and tea notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice, but a bit pricey! — 4 years ago
Much softer than the Beaune Cent Vignes, with likeable friendly tannins — 6 years ago
This is in a really great spot right now... — 7 years ago
Another 4th Friday for the books!
Smoked hazelnut on the nose, salted pear and lemon; lanolin and lemon peel on the palate...tart and acidic without being overbearing. Almost sulphuric on the finish. Really impressed. Great bottle @Clare Gillette ! — 7 years ago
Detailed and complex. Hard to believe this is a Rose de saignee. So much character all around. — 8 years ago

En mazoyeres Charmes Chambertin. Muscular, fruit forward, testimony that although most Charmes doesn’t justify grand cru status this one clearly does. Fabulous fruit. — 4 years ago
