You don't need to talk to much about legends. A pure, elegant simultaneously super powerful, expressive, complex interpretation of the Nebbiolo grape. Dried red berries, tar, rose petals, underbrush and balsamic components melt together in this irresistible Monfortino. And (of course) decades of life ahead. — 9 years ago
From the legends that have a west coast marthas vineyard, japanese comic books about Heitz, and a tasting room that accommodates their visitors very well. Amazing throughout. Strawberry notes, mellow. Let it open for 5 hours and enjoyed this great wine w peppered rib eye and sauteed mushrooms. — 9 years ago
Bordering on the stuff of legends, this dense and powerful wine possesses loads of fruit but also refinement and balance. Well constructed tannins, positive acidity and rich fruit play well together with a toasty oak component providing support and already being nicely integrated. No doubt that Andy E is a rock star winemaker. — 9 years ago
Quicksilver kid! Thanks for sharing the fun-quirky, generous notes of stone gumball, fuzz of white peach, lemon dust crunch and graphite shavings. Your Yellow marigold happiness, radish intermezzo, and fresh air composure bring a smile to my lips, a flutter to my olfactory. On the palate, your nervy embrace charms, your acid bite just piquant enough to keep me on my toes - mellower now that we've known you a few years - and your biscuit dough-limeade composure is one of a kind. Even your sucker-punch jalapeño-apricot-preserve note is more of an embrace, really...
Being cool like you are, OF COURSE wrap with a Tangerine and wet hay finale, that awesome acidic impertinence polished to a perfect lilt!! Then, just stony silence 😭
Geek notes: brilliant, w/ pale straw and green hue. High- intensity, transitional nose. High acid, med alc, med-long finish. Balances on the knife edge of sanity/insanity, just right. 💚

More on the fruity side but both of us liked it. Received as gift from Frank for Christmas in 2016. Purchased @ HEB — 8 years ago

Amazing testament to pre-parkerized Napa. On the nose duck prosciutto, tomato relish, dusty dry cassis, tamari, saline.. Fully melted tannins with deep initiation to the deepest wisdom and legends of Old Napa. Stunning! Savory and I just don't know how this wine still has life and structure. — 9 years ago
Palo Cortado is the rarest type of sherry, surrounded by myths and legends. It accounts for 0.001% of Sherry produced. A great way to begun the evening. #renegadewines — 10 years ago
Named best Chardonnay in the world outside of Burgundy by Decanter magazine UK which is a big call indeed. Subtle tropical fruit nuances. Carrying a little oak but not overly so. Very satisfying. Impressive to out point Aussie Legends Leeuwin Estate and Giaconda. Right up there IMO. 18. — 10 years ago

One of the legends of meritage California. My dear friend Andrew Tow helped me to a few if these over the years. Tonight with SF buds. This bottle had been poorly cellared the last few years... BUT, was magnificent. What a wine, nose to lips to rear palette... favorite wine ever. — 8 years ago
Had a glass with one of the legends of Champagne today. Anselme's philosophy and contribution to winemaking is unparalleled. Blend of 06' 08' and 09' aged 7 years in small French oak barrels. Life goals achieved — 9 years ago
Whiskey tonight, wine tomorrow night.
Mark Twain once said “Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough.”
Born and raised, I'm a Texas boy through and through, and ladies and gentlemen, this is damn fine whiskey. Hailing from my hometown of Fort Worth, the tastes of cola and vanilla extract make this honey/molasses colored blended whiskey the stuff of Texas legends. Looking forward to their first 100% bourbon once it finishes aging. — 9 years ago
Could be named for me - Princess Fiano. Loving the Fiano rise and Adelaide Hills is Fianoville. Leaner than the Unico Zelo legends but loving the diversity and differences of terroir and winemaking. Lovely. — 9 years ago
I heard legends that this man could transcend any vintage expectations and so I purchased this and rolled the dice. Apparently was the hottest it's been in decades during the 2003 vintage. Yes, it's true, this was like a raspberry pie in a glass giving off refined animal aromas. Managed to get all the good stuff out of the cornas wine and backed with the right acidity...WTF. Heroes get remembered. Legends never die. Right up there with allemand with a a bit of extra soul. RIP — 9 years ago

Fantastic 2nd label from one of the legends of Margaux. Give it a few hours to breathe and settle down and see what a master can do with an even so-so vintage. — 8 years ago
