2018 vintage. La Cravate , Clos du Notaire , Bourg. This is an extremely rare 100% Malbec (300 bottles produced) from Bourg. Concerning the name, just Google "cravate de notaire kamasutra". Apart from the name and the beautiful bottle, this is an outstanding wine, showing the potential of Malbec in Bourg.
Blackberries blueberries, cassis, violets and cigar box. Malbec can sometimes lack elegance, but this beauty combines power and finesse. Seems effortless. Very long. Amazing. 59 euros and well worth the price if you manage to find a bottle. — 4 years ago

2018 vintage. Notaris , Clos du Notaire Côtes de Bourg. A blend of 55% Cabernet Franc and 45% Merlot. Intense black fruit and cedar. Concentrated and very fresh. The oak is still a bit obvious at this stage, but it should ultimately outperform the outstanding 2017. Refreshing to see how this neophyte couple turns out great wines from the start (they bought the estate in 2015). — 4 years ago

2016 vintage. This estate was bought by Amélie Osmond and Victor Mischler in 2015, so this should be their very first vintage in full control. A very good start for these neophytes with this blend of 75% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc that displays ripe cherry fruit, spices and some smokiness. It has good concentration and a serious ripe tannin structure, balanced acidity and good length. Provides a lot of drinking pleasure now, but should age well and gain additional complexity. Very good value at just under 10 euros. — 5 years ago
