Very under the radar Bordeaux 2nd label. — 12 years ago
Light, bright, complex but also pleasingly brute force in its fruit. Very enjoyable, would like to try again after an hour or two In a decanter. Served a little chilled here at Le Dauphin. — 13 years ago

I was served this dessert wine from Tor Kenward blind, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it is not a Sauternes. It reminds me of 2009 Guiraud, though perhaps slightly less concentrated. As the glass warms up, heady aromas of ripe apricot, dried pineapple, clover honey, candied ginger and baking spices leap forth. Unctuously textured, with vibrant acidity. The finish on this golden-robed beauty lasts for well over a minute. — 12 years ago
Really wonderful wine. Rich, caramel-like and fill. More body than many sauternes. All that you want Ina Sauternes and then a robustness on top of it. Really wonderful. Tasted against a 2001 Guiraud which was also lovely but thinner. — 12 years ago

Domaine Guiraud les Gallimardes Blanc 2013: Grenache, Clairette, Roussanne and Bourboulenc. Friendly, floral, light acacia notes, lavander, gentle, maybe the most simplistic, a bit quiet of my tasting, a licorice touch on top. — 11 years ago
