Soft palate, light, crisp finish. Green apple, floral, melon notes. Selection Eric stauffenegger, vigneron imports. At Rays, Los Angeles, CA — 10 years ago
— 5 years ago
Soulful. Needs time to breathe but when it gets some air, it is deep — 6 years ago
Had 2009 vintage at home Nice but not great — 7 years ago
Initially out of the bottle it was a huge fruity bomb of disjointed flavor, but after an hour or so of air it really improved. I can't wait to try more 2015 Beaujolais. — 8 years ago
Another terrific offering from Cris Cherry at Villa Creek, this SMG blend is drinking beautifully right now. Intense nose of blackberries, camphor, and a touch of iodine, it is remarkably smooth for such a young wine. Layers of flavor and wonderfully balanced through the mid-palate, this is a classic example of a Paso Rhone Ranger blend. Not sure about its longevity - as I implied this is far more integrated at 3 years than I would have expected - but it's drinking so well now I'm not sure why you would wait! — 9 years ago
Baking spices and bruised apple. Popcorn, notes of slight oxidation. Chenin Blanc, not Cab Franc — 9 years ago

Little to no tannins. Very easy drinking red for a warm summer afternoon — 6 years ago
Gotta love Cris Cherry's take on grenache (my favorite varietal). This one is a bit young - could probably use a year or two more in the cellar - but it still boasts great fruit on the nose (albeit a bit restrained for a Paso wine) with a nice, medium-plus bodied palate and plenty of backbone to suggest several more years of evolution. If you're opening it up now I'd suggest a 1-2 hour decant, but this is a great QPR for a Paso grenache! — 7 years ago
Obviously a very special wine. Tasted at a guildsomm class and would like to revisit it. — 7 years ago
Beautiful, rich Chardonnay from Burgundy. 2014 aged well, still crisp but with well balanced creaminess and structure. Overall, delicious. — 7 years ago
Needed an hour to open up, but was worth the wait. Great mouth feel, well balanced, will only get better — 9 years ago
