Jahrgang 2008! Chapeau! Deshalb liebe ich Wein! — 8 years ago
One of the best sweet desert wines I have ever had. Amazing Chapeau — 9 years ago
Clean and fruity Chard with subtle toast, butterscotch and steamed milk accents. — 10 years ago
Evening drinks the night before we leave to Angers/Saumur for La Dive. This is the best wine I've had in a long time. Unbelievable depth, so precise, strong character and a stunning finish that evolves over minutes of time. Incredible! Please note that 2004 wasn't even an easy year in Chablis. Chapeau! — 10 years ago

Decent. Smooth. — 8 years ago
Maroon and purple. Leather and cassis. Gravel, clay, black tea, ink and again cassis.
Soft yet structured. Showing considerable concentration, length and typicité, I think this is one of the best wines this appellation has to offer. Bought this wine many years ago and it's definately worth its 22€ pricetag.
Chapeau!

Golden honey color with a balanced fruit /acidity structure. Medium-long finish. Went great with a medley of local fish at Le Chapeau Rouge in Chinon. — 9 years ago
Ciliege e tartufi, spezie e the nero, fresco, tannico, perfettamente equilibrato e di grande armonia. — 10 years ago
Jaune vieil or

1999 Sine Qua Non “Ox” Pinot Noir from the wonderful Shea Vineyard in Yamhill County, Oregon. 14% alcohol. I’ve always loved the simple label on this gigantic bottle with the cavernous punt. And I was all ready to wax poetic about the romance of opening one of these older SQNs as, based on a couple of recent tastings, I was told that this bottle is well over the hill. Well, that just ain’t so. At least not with this bottle which has been lovingly stored since release. Now I’m not going to try and convince you that the “Ox” is at its peak, but the old girl still has some tricks up her sleeve. Crystal clear, bright, medium garnet appearance. A little bricky on the edges. Smokey notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, truffles and clove on the nose. Quite vibrant palate of sweet strawberries and cola as well as spice box with a hint of vanilla, toast and that clove. A touch earthy. Nice acidity. Super silky mouthfeel. Short, but decent smokey finish with a bite reminiscent of Sweet Tarts candy. Tangy! Extremely enjoyable! Well made is well made. Chapeau Mr. Krankl! — 8 years ago

Anno 2011. Chapeau — 9 years ago
Chapeau — 10 years ago

Delicious bottle of wine. Wonderful bouquet, fragrant Syrah aromas, tannic and well structured flavors. Great with fatty meats. Easy drinking. Had it at Chapeau with ribeye. Would definitely get again! — 6 years ago
