Disfruten saludos

Like a nonna. Full bodied, good fruit, great acidity that balances the alcohol. Perfect pizza wine — 7 years ago
Nonna&Sidhi 820 excl tax — 7 years ago
— 7 years ago

Loved it. Tart cherries, earthy, long finish, good tannins, but in a medium to light package. Not the best nose. Seems heavy w al. But just 13% al. Great by itself. As good day two. — 7 years ago

Roero Arneis - had it with Amel, nonno Mario Nonna Maria, Tata Samia and kids in Sidi Bou Said. Matched it with three tuma, salame della cascina savoiarda all’aglio e Barbera, and tarte aux onion. — 7 years ago
— 8 years ago

An Australian Sangiovese made by an Australian Italian Family. Not particularly Sangiovese like the real deal but it does have cherry, dark chocolate and aromas of decayed matter. I recall Peter Scudamore-Smith MW saying on our Tuscan trip that he didn’t think there were any top Quality Australian Sangioveses made mainly because we are using the wrong clones. Australian Sangiovese seems to be a work in progress. Had another bottle 56 weeks later on 26th March 2020 with similar notes although showing more varietal characters this time of skins, earth and leather. — 6 years ago

Dinner with LD at Nonna, absolutely fire — 8 years ago
An absolutely brilliant evening at one of the best hole in the wall spots in all of Fort Worth, Nonna Tata. The Italian food is out of this world good, and if you can get there in time (which we luckily did) the patio is perfect for this weather!
To celebrate one of my best friend's coming first child, Kevin and I met up and I wanted to supply the wine as I know he's a Gargiulo fan. Funny thing is, I'd never had Gargiulo, but thanks to @Martin G Rivard , I had one of these bad boys to open! Martin told me to not worry about the vintage and trust him as it's a killer wine. He. Was. RIGHT. Wow. After about an hour and a half of being open, this was so incredibly supple. Dark purple and almost black in the glass. Blackberries and raspberries on the nose...faint hint of pepper. Absolutely perfectly balanced on the palate...blackberry pie, blackberry preserves, plum, red and black licorice on the palate. This is so delicious now, but in 3-4 years, this will be absolutely divine. Up there with Red Cap in best wines of 2011. Thank you, Martin! — 8 years ago
Fin Jams
Reddish-brown. Sweet cherries, eucalyptus, prunes, antique woood furniture in the nose. Silky tannins. Cherry forward, strawberries, balsamic. Lots of oak on the finish. Lingering. It's like an old nonna - you know she's survived the test time yet manages to stay oh-so sweet and captivating. — 4 years ago
