Delicious and complex, but not overwhelming. Easy to drink. 85% tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% mazuela. Good with strong cheese or beef. Dry. — 5 years ago

Very fruity, but not sweet. Would be perfect for summer! — 7 years ago
With its suave blend of rich dark fruit and energetic floral and spice qualities, this juicy Spanish red will pair well with a range of foods, especially grilled meats. It also drinks wonderfully by itself. Supple tannins and subtle grip keep the exuberant fruit in check. $15.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, October 2018) — 7 years ago

Medium bodied, floral nose, juicy blackberries, blueberries and cinnamon notes, delicious. — 8 years ago
Wonderful depth— needs 30-40 mins of air to open and integrate. Then beautiful balance and huge drive. Wish could get more! — 5 years ago
Really nice. On first few sips it reminded me of a spicy, more tannic Beaujolais, but with air developed much more tobacco, cedar box, some dust, dried cherries, and a big bunch of herbs. Need to drink more of this. — 5 years ago

A new Rioja for me I grabbed in Spain from @gabymeetswine @vilaviniteca @ €105 & whilst nice I think it’s overpriced as you get just as good quality in many £40-£50 Rioja but that said it’s nice 😉 & quite unusually earthy & mineral laden 😁 leave 5 years 👍

🍇 Mazuela, Graciano & Tempranillo
🍷 Deep dark ruby
👃 Soggy earth, gravel, minerals & pencil lead through muted dark cherry w/ a light smokey soaked oak tone, red currant, balsamic & herbs then the oak really pushed through on steroids after a couple of hours
👄 Med body of red & dark cherry in balsamic w/ cocoa & minerals galore w/ a touch of blackberry
🎯 Med+ dry tannic red & dark cherry/berry cocoa mineral earthy linger w/ an okay follow through

Cherry reduction and sautéed mushrooms over a fatty steak grilled on a wood plank. Big body but not too tannic and oh so drinkable. I can’t stop sniffing this wine. — 7 years ago

Cabernet sauvignon — 5 years ago
Garnet hue with medium-high saturation. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cherry, leather, licorice, oak, tar, toast, and vanilla. Medium body; heavy, firm tannins; and high acidity. Robust on the nose; while bold and smooth on the palate with a long-lasting finish. Made of 95% Tempranillo and 5% Mazuela (Carignan). — 6 years ago
