Maremma Toscana IGT 2008, 14%. Blend of 5 grapes, aged 18 months in wood, and 18 months in the bottle. Drank in 2014 is perfect: still fresh in the mouth, but round and elegant. 88/100 — 11 years ago

Very good although pricey old Tuscan merlot. Probably a bit past prime, and not at all what I was looking for. Nice setting with only a few tables, but in terms of food this is the WORST Michelin one star restaurant I have ever encountered. Wine list is also quite limited. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. Michelin really needs to get their act together, as this place is a complete abomination. — 9 years ago
Savoury meaty wine smooth and subtle really moorish — 8 years ago
Had it July 2013.
Monumental!! 22years it seems bottle today. Blackberry and leather over the all mass, but more than the nose what is really astonishing is the palate. We had it after L'Apparita 1989 and we completely removed that wine away from our mind in one second. The tannin, OMG😱, the centre of the mouth, it all reminds you of a top French wine. Absolutely moving and inspiring❤️❤️ — 9 years ago

2017 Castello di Ama L’Apparita was the wine that I pulled for the evening. Italian Merlot. Ama is an old, fortified village situated near Radda and Gaiole in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. On the nose, intense dark berries. A full bodied wine with layers of beautiful ripe fruit. Perfect balance. Stellar finish. Stunning. — 2 years ago
