Had the 2015 vintage in Jan 2019. Nice, easy drinking, well balanced Bordeaux blend from south Australia. Excellent wine, especially related to price. — 7 years ago

World of Wines 3/29/17. Soft tannins, finish-heavy. Highly drinkable and a fun story from the winemaker's employee (ask about the rhino on the label). — 9 years ago
A nice one. Not very sweet but the vanilla aroma makes it seem that way: too much character in the aroma to pair easily with anything but a red meat or dessert. Nice by itself. Update: I came back and increased my rating on this wine. It's become a favorite: bring it to a dinner party: people will comment and ask for the name. 2014 is a great year and I've since explored other wines by this company: have loved them all! — 10 years ago
A lovely luscious chardonnay. White peach and grapefruit flavours with a saline undercurrent and lime peel setting off the palate. Very smooth with a creamy mouthfeel, but no evidence of malolactic fermentation except for a subtle hint of creme brûlée. The oak very restrained. The acid is quite subdued at this point, giving the wine great balance with a long lingering finish. Simply beautiful. — 10 years ago
sweet & fruity not flowery or purfumey like some less expensive wines — 7 years ago

One of my favorite grocery store wines - not too sweet but not sour — 9 years ago
This California blended red really surprised me with a lot of flavor coming from what appears to be a light to medium bodied wine.
First taste reminded me of some of my favorites with subtle aged oak up front and a muted cassis finish. I was disappointed that it did not sustain that same profile but, probably due to the lighter body, yielded to floral and delicious spice notes.
Overall this one is a keeper for me, especially for serving to an unknown guest whose palate may not go for the chewy earthen wines I prefer. It carries some of those same qualities in lighter and softer tones.
I think the sweetness is well balanced allowing it to pair well across a wide range of foods. It also has a rich and clear ruby color that would certainly brighten any table. — 10 years ago
I think this and their Cab Franc are two of their most intriguing wines. Built to last. — 10 years ago
Really good for Walgreens -1.5L for $8.99 list. Much better than bitterness of box wines, especially Discounted all the way to $3.99! — 10 years ago
It comes into its own after its opened and let’s time to breathe. Great with meat, pasta, or tapas. — 7 years ago
An evening spent with John Harris of Amici Cellars. Passed Hors d'ouevres, a 4-course dinner, and some delicious wines.
Second Course: Quail, cherry, celery root, vanilla, lavender & sage. Paired with the 2016 Sonoma County Winemaker's Pinot Noir.

Precise as all Stephen Reustle's wines are—the 2014 Winemaker's Reserve Tempranillo is opaque quinacridone violet in the glass, with a swirl one can coax from it classic varietal aromas of earthy sun-warmed terra cotta tile, aged leather and dried herbs, all neatly folded into a background of black cherries and plums. It's softly textured on the palate, with a warm and dark fruited core cradled in a pillow of toast. 13.9% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
