Tasted at Chateau.
52 CF 47 M 1 CS, 100% new oak for 15 m's.
Dark, inky crimson, opaque, compact rim.
Classic Cheval Blanc bouquet. Seductively floral - rose petal, lavender, violet. Elegant red fruit profile with fresh mintiness in abundance.
While evidently young and thus structured, this wine is extremely nuanced and soft (in a good way). Sophisticated and complex black and red fruits highlighted by fresh herbal undertone (mint, sweet basil, and thyme). Incredible finish - long and uniquely memorable.
No doubt, it will be spectacular in 10-15 years and beyond. My first young Cheval is exactly everything I was hoping for and more. 94++ — 9 years ago
Founded in 1982, Roederer Estate sparkling wines reflect the cool, fog-shrouded Anderson Valley, home to their family-owned estate's 600 acres of vineyards. Tiny bubbles, nice mousse with toasty fruit aromas for this blend of 52% Chardonnay & 48% Pinot Noir. Flavors of apple and nutty pear, biscuit notes, creamy, great mouthfeel. Lingering finish ending with spicy mineral notes. Smooth and crisp! — 9 years ago
This is a blend of 52% Malbec 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% petit Verdot. Spicy and earthy aroma and deep inky flavor with blackberries, plums and chocolate. Long rich finish with strong tannins — 9 years ago

Went with my dad to Season 52 in Long Island, NY. This was a great wine. Smooth and rich at the same time. Love my Riojas!!! — 11 years ago
Dark ruby color with intriguing aromas that are at once both pungent and sweet with intermingled bacon fat, red fruits, black pepper, olive tapenade, and a hint of bittersweet chocolate. On the palate it's very smooth, well balanced and fresh with juicy dark cherry, strawberry, warm flavors with a spicy mineral laden finish. Blend of Blend of 52% Syrah,29% Grenache,18% Mourvedre and 1% Counoise 13.7% alcohol. Great value at $20 — 12 years ago
Had at seasons 52. Very smooth and delicious — 12 years ago
52 CS 42 M 6 CF
Inky purple with brilliant tint. Youthful and compact rim.
Quite a contrast from the softer 2014, this shows a Cabernet-based character with dark cherry, blackcurrant, boysenberry, and leafy freshness on the bouquet.
The palate is certainly more interesting, a step up from the 2014. Red cherry, raspberry, red currant lifted by slightly minty freshness and baking spices while smoky hazelnut keeps it interesting.
Very commendable effort but I really wish they dialed down on Merlot in the final blend. 89+ — 9 years ago
Fab £38 white from Lynch Bages that's unusual but quite quaffable in ☀️ & well made 👍
