Wow, this is one seriously beautiful Chablis. Both my first from Vincent Dampt and my first from the 2014 vintage - one or both of those things must be very special indeed! This features bright fruit that's at first more notable for its purity and ethereal presence than the usual Chablis minerality. The slender contours and gentle weight is kind of what I imagine it might be like if Frederic Mugnier made a Chablis. The trademark Chablis oyster-shell minerality comes out after it's open a few hours, but it's on the mild side. The main themes here are the zen-like tranquility and pure fruit that makes it feel like spring even in the middle of winter. — 10 years ago
Welcome my friends to my Wine spot! Dr Todds Wine Bar!
I am visiting family in Los Angeles CA! I had the privalege to explore LA's own San Antonio Winery! One of the oldest Wineries in California and the only one allowed to stay open during the prohabition years. I love the Riboli family wines! As I have tried most of them, the Opaque wines are my favorite. Today I am trying the Malbec 2010 for the first time. It is one of the four options from their Opaque family. These Paso Robles wines are amazing. The cork has a thin ring of wine absorption and is slightly irregular. Its condition is perfect, well its a 2010... The color is very Opaque as the name implies. The legs are very long and slow lasting 7 seconds. The Cab is 9 seconds.
The boquet is not tanic at all ....oops I forgot, tannis are not aromatic. Hum.... true as I have previously been corrected! Let me rephrase. There is no strong sharp alcohol odor you get with some cheap wines. Hell, there is no tanic aroma. That's a Dr. Todd made up term!!!!!!! I like it and Im keeping it. The boquet is that of blackberry and plum. The initial palate is blackberry and chocolate. It has a velvety palate but not buttery. The final palate grabs the edges of the tongue from the tip to the base. There is absolutely no lingering taste. This is amazing. Try this wine. The cab, zen, and petit verdot are also amazing. — 11 years ago

Mon dieu! Mondeuse! A native of Savoie, in Cali fashion. A strong man who's been doing some zen mediatation. Stone bones, red fruit, and a tart worldview. — 12 years ago

Again- not willing to accept its a Sauvignon Blanc- but slightly sherried, oily happy wine. These are being stuck on here long after the fact- so we're deeply half cut- and nobodies expecting a large explanation here. It taste nice- take our word for it — 11 years ago

Smelled like a cake shop with a fruity taste. Hints of cherries, red currant, and vanilla. I loved this wine and could pick out the flavors pretty easily! Great zen — 11 years ago

Snagged a bottle on travel for the weekend at home. What a wonderful blend... Oregon at its mid price point best. Love the long lingering finish... Reminiscent of the delightful balance of acid, fruit (cherry and raspberry) and that earthy-zen expected from Oregon. God bless SIDURI — 10 years ago
