Toasty, opulent, and complex. Give it a few minutes to open up and it's a real knockout. — 9 years ago
Big dark fruit with spices on the finish. Just what was needed after a long week. Love his labels. — 10 years ago
Clape crushed the lamb stew we paired it with. One of my favorite meals of the year. And views overlooking Mono Lake for the knockout punch — 10 years ago
Tight blackberries and currant some leather. Think this is going to be a knockout as it opens up. Incredible !! — 9 years ago
Wonderful smooth and soft, almost a sweet aftertaste due to the ripe fruit flavors. Great right out of the bottle, little breathing necessary. A knockout vintage and beautiful wine. — 9 years ago
Wow, real knockout stuff. This is not domestic Muscadet - there's not much in common besides the grape. It has the bright, pure fruit but it is put together in a much fuller style, more like a white Burgundy (minus the oak) than Muscadet. I don't say Chablis because while it's an intensely mineral wine and cranked up to 11 in that department, it's not a marine minerality. The mineral element here is volcanic (and so is the soil), bringing to mind all those cliches about aromas bursting from the glass and so forth, and it's every bit as driving on the palate. — 10 years ago
Holy cow, this is good. Needed some time to open up, but ultimately a real knockout. Paired well with a simple piece of salmon. — 10 years ago
A knockout. Perfect blend of acidity (lemon peel), and weight. Currently drinking at room temperature and the acid dances to life. Delicious. — 10 years ago

2010 Knockout. Very fitting. Could use a few years, but still drinking fantastic now — 11 years ago
If you order wine with your pie at Pizzeria Mozza, this is the one. Dark purple, but light in texture. Let it breathe until the pizza arrives, then enjoy how it amplifies any topping that the restaurant is serving. A knockout! — 11 years ago
Roman Sukley
This is the '05 so-called "Blue Label" which isn't very blue, but I digress. I was a little rough on the last Lillian I opened, which I believe was the '06 regular bottling. It was a might underwhelming. This bottle has more highs than lows. Inky black color. Swirl the wine and you can't count the legs in the glass. Absolute knockout nose of licorice, spice and Dr Pepper. Best part of the experience for me. SO inviting. The downside is that the fruit is a little muted. Still some black fruit essence, however. And a bit hot on the finish. I guess I would still say it's best days are in the rear view mirror, but I'll hang on to a few to revisit somewhere down the road. Apologies to @Bill Bender for the absence of breasts in the photo. — 9 years ago
