A marvelous spirit from the countryside of Kentucky. Notes of brimstone are very present with a well balanced aftertaste of molten lead and Iron. — 10 years ago
Beautiful honey-amber color in the glass. Nose is a little hot with airplane glue and spice. Palate is much softer, still warm though with oak and loads of vanilla and spice. Nice neat, better with a few drops of spring water. — 11 years ago
finally. japan has showed me a subtler side of corn whiskey! sorry, kentucky. — 11 years ago
Delicious, light and fresh. Slighty puzzled that I should be drinking a Kentucky beer in the Cologne tradition in a Japanese restaurant in China though... — 10 years ago
Sliced ham and sea sponges, an apple sweetness, car leather, mussel shell, feet. That is the network of olfactory disparity that simultaneously confuses and entices. The beer drops hard, green pine cones on the tongue and rooftop. Liquid toast with touches of candied violet, rum cake and sweet tobacco. Rough entry and refined exit. Overall, a very interesting beer. #barrelbeer #ipa #barrelaged #rye — 10 years ago
