LOVE. Loire might be my favourite French region.
Some green pepper on the nose. Dangerously drinkable. Food friendly. Went well with spiced ground beef and rice, but this red would be a good companion for red or white meat, Indian dishes, or on its own. — 5 years ago
Wow - power Beauj, unexpected. Dark, Somewhat austere (age) yet also fruity. Maybe that’s the old vines? Not sure what to compare it to - maybe a good CDP — 6 years ago
Yes. Structured leather blueberries, sharp acid almost fizzles. Boom. — 7 years ago
Dry and floral! Just like i like em. — 7 years ago
Jammy fruity and delicious. Buy 2, 1 is not enough. — 10 years ago
This was delicious! Very mineral, balanced, complex and vivacious. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was Palomino. — 10 years ago
So, how are the big '09s Beaujolais five years in? If this is any indication, totally fine, if not graceful and pretty. Pure fruit core with very broad shoulders structurally. Nothing high-toned, and none of the brett or VA I often find in this producer. Was kind of bummed that I didn't order something younger and fresher until I remembered what and insane wine this is for the money and who cares. Great with veal and Morrels. 5-10 years ahead at least. — 11 years ago
This is all wet rocks and blue fruit, just what I love. — 5 years ago
Solid product, but lacks depth. Heat is pleasant but not overpowering. The vanillin on the other hand is overpowering. — 7 years ago

Good balance of black and blue fruit with spice and oak — 10 years ago
2011 Vintage. Good mineral notes, medium body. Needs to decant for 2+ hours to really open up. — 11 years ago
Full, Bold and plush. Made from Walla Walla grapes. Ripe fruit (plums and black cherry) aromas and flavors. Hints of black pepper, black olives and baking spices. Smooth tannins. Touch of blueberry on the finish. Fruit forward but not over the top. Just a bit hot out of the bottle so decant this one a bit. — 5 years ago

Unreal wine. Highly recommend this wine. — 7 years ago
I love wine from Cahors and you rarely see it on a menu. Found this one at Rye in Leawood, KS. (Save room for pie) Always a simple, straightforward wine that delivers. I hope I can find this to bring home! — 8 years ago
1993 Screaming Eagle Cab. Drank at Press w K, Iana, S, and AG. Such a treat and very interesting as Kplanned it as a comp with the 1991 Harlan. For the first hour or so, we all favored the SE. Super unctuous and round, like velvet in the mouth. Then the wines came to temp and the picture completely changed and we all grew to favor the Harlan. Interestingly, the SE got flabby and very, very sweet. A thought it was bc it lacked the tannins that the Harlan showed. Anyway, SE turned almoSt port-like, with a nose of dates, raisins, and prunes. Amazing and fun to see the change throughout the night. — 10 years ago
Always love Experiment from Ovid. The 2005 was more cab franc dominant and it's showing well with another decade or so left in the tank. — 11 years ago

Delicious and Creamy!!! Aromas of honey and stone fruits. The palate is teased with flavors of white peach, pear, honey. Pale yellow with nice acidity and a creamy finish. Great with cheese for lunch. — 4 years ago
