We know Joseph Swan, so this wasn’t a tough choice. Smooth, only slightly fruit forward. Great whether we were having pasta with lamb or red fish. — a year ago
With Dawn, like French wine - great mouth taste and nice finish — 5 years ago
Big producer, but a really stellar wine. Everything you'd want in a Chablis. Got this for $5 on the clearance shelf at an Albertsons. Kudos to the wine buyer, shame on you general wine buying public. If it said Chard on the label it would have been sold long ago. — 8 years ago
It is just right. Not too old. Not too young, Well balanced, Goldilocks. The consensus favorite of the night. — 9 years ago

2002 Vintage. Clos de Beze. In Calypso Grill, Grand Cayman. Surprisingly good wine menu! This wine has an appealing nose - leather, earth, old oak notes, black ripe fruit profile. Classic Chambertin nose. On the palate, medium plus body and concentration, medium plus prominent tannins - yet to fully integrate leading to drying on the finish. In many ways, excellent. In other ways, slightly out of balance and the drying note detracts. — 8 years ago
2012 Joseph Phelps Pinot Noir, Freestone Vineyards Sonoma Coast - can't wait for this spring 2014 release. — 10 years ago
Pure pleasure, vivacious, juicy, deeply textured and ripe. A completely different experience than LBT — 7 months ago
Smooth, deep, lively, and well balanced, good fruit with accents of underbrush and vanilla. — 8 months ago
Graham crust and hibiscus on the nose. White pepper, viennoiseries, lemon curd, and a bit of rhubarb. — 4 years ago
— 6 years ago
Love this wine. 2012 vintage. #josephphelps biased review. — 9 years ago
Light, well balanced, slight pear notes on the nose. — 10 years ago

Deep red color. Bright aromas and flavors of red berry/cassis fruit, wet soil, dark chocolate and baking spices. A pronounced vanilla note on the mid-palate. Well balanced but a bit short on the finish. Very smooth tannins. Young and fruit forward. Could benefit from additional bottle age. Thank you for sharing this one, Chris B! — 7 months ago
