Spicy dry restaurant $50 Favorite wine of the night. — 8 years ago
My first Israeli wine. Heavy sediment, benefited from a decant, opened up gradually over two hours. Nicely balanced cabernet blend. — 9 years ago
Fantastic. Wish it wasn't our last bottle of the 2012. Subtle Pinot fruit with thyme in the nose. Earthy palate of damp mulch or wet leaves with a nicely balanced red fruit and a savory and slight saltiness in the finish. A great wine from a really cool winery. Stop by and say hi to Jonathan! — 9 years ago

So impressed with this wine. Reasonable but taste expensive. Great aroma taste of bitter cherry mixed with ripe sweet grapes. Maybe dark chocolate. Try it — 9 years ago
For £11 that is a phenomenal house red — 9 years ago
Slaying. Beautiful color, earth and wet leaves upon opening, cherries and spice showing off a couple hours in. 11.6 abv, acid still going strong. Need more. Thank you, @Jonathan Oakes ! — 10 years ago
Lovely, dry — 10 years ago
Drank this wine accompanied by Jonathan Maltus and his wife Lyn, the owners of the Chateau since they were kind enough to accept a dinner invitation! Clear, deep ruby. Clean, medium intensity nose, dark fruit, chocolate, leather. Full body, medium acidity, medium level of tannins (very silky). Flavours of plums, cherries, chocolate. Long finish. Very good. — 11 years ago

The 2015 Pezat Red, Jonathan Maltus's entry-level red, is flat-out delicious. Sweet red cherry and plum fruit are front and center in this racy, open-knit wine. There is much to like, including the wine's very accessible price. I would prefer to drink this succulent Saint-Émilion over the next few years, while the fruit retains its youthful vibrancy.
