This 2014 Italian red combines Plum, leather, smoke. This biggish medium bodied wine is really good. It’s palette cleaning, bone dry finish will make you forget you’re drinking so you’ll keep refilling your glass. — 6 years ago
A lot of passion fruit 👍👍 — 7 years ago

Very light grenache, pink peppercorns on the finish. Stunning! — 10 years ago
Recommended by a great somm at The Tasting Room. We were buying a case of Jimenez-Landi (excellent stuff) and he insisted on throwing a bottle of Zaco in at no charge. Smooth and spicy with a punch of flavor and short finish. Great taste, great fun. — 12 years ago
A pure and extremely delicate wine, fresh notes of Garnacha and Syrah, seductive beverage 🥊 — 5 years ago
This is dope, great to taste a stylistic departure from the Commando G and other Landi wines. This is structured, more extracted and incorporating some new oak it seems (very well I might add). This 2011 is drinking great. Nose is fragrant with rich tones of raspberry confiture, roasted red plums, powdered sugar, sweet wood, mushroom, asian spices. Palate is beguiling, roasted/cooked fruit character matching followed by cinnamon, pastilles, sweet licorice, amaro spice, coffee, and garrigue. Structured with present yet fine tannin, definitely highlighted by the oak upbringing. — 6 years ago
Fucking magic! Macerated strawberries in a meringue nest. Drooling. Multi layered. Earthy. Generous. Beautiful. — 8 years ago

Taste of pepper which I'm not fond of, yet it paired very well with cheese. Pepper disappeared and the flavor melted in with the cheese. — 9 years ago

Albillo 100% from old vines. Intensely chalky, very citrusy on the nose, and a very strong mineral character. Well integrated. — 11 years ago

Just outside Mardid, in the Sierra del Gredos lies the Tumba del Rey Moro Vineyard. Until a few years ago, this site was almost impossible to access, until Fernando García & Dani Landi spent several months removing brush and overgrowth in order to be able to farm the 60-70 year old vines planted to the granite and quartz soils. This 100% Garnacha is simply gorgeous, with a incredible silky, polished texture, and the elegance and refinement that easily rivals some of the finest wines on the planet. Its characteristics of wild berries, floral, spices, earth and herbs are pure and focused. It continues to thoroughly impress with its wonderful precision and balance through the long finish. While this is certainly impressive now, in due time, this could be something very special. — 6 years ago
Juan Gil Jiménez first built his winery in 1916 in Jumilla, and passed it down to his future generations. From 100% Monastrell (or Mourvèdre in France) aromas of dark berry fruits and woody spice. On the palate blackberry and plum with earthy wood flavors and notes of cacao and cinnamon spice. Soft tannins, lingering ending with a light toasty character. Great value! Very nice! — 7 years ago
Smoother. Less smokey. Yum. $39.99 at New Leaf in Half Moon Bay. — 7 years ago

— 5 years ago
