Fantastic! $80 bottle the Jefferson Washington DC — 9 years ago
Really good. I might manage a coherent rating after we stop yelling at the cat for spilling a glass of it all over the rug. This is why our rugs are red. — 9 years ago
We'll call this a "Waiting Out the Rain" wine. Great minerality, medium body, hint of pear, floral nose. Pairs great with the yet-to-be-released St. Paul & the Broken Bones album on a screened in porch. My boy Thomas Jefferson would be proud of this one--a great Virginia white. — 9 years ago
Discovered this bottle at the Jefferson. Hunted it down so I could have a few bottles to myself. — 10 years ago
Thomas Jefferson had good taste! — 10 years ago
"...high flavoured wines a necessary of life with me." - Thomas Jefferson writing to a friend in 1816. Indeed Mr. President, indeed! The most perfect Paulliac I've had the pleasure of enjoying yet - sublime and just perfect. Bold, and inviting - no wonder it's behind the locked glass at Total Wine! — 11 years ago
Dining with Jefferson. Peach, nutty perfumes of almond and clean water kissed stone. Sweet on the palette, but completely dry. Crisp acidic sting and a rich mouthfeel. Delightful! — 12 years ago

"Good wine is a necessity of life for me" - Thomas Jefferson (quote on back label). "Mineral" crisp dry finish, tart, not very sweet. Great wine! — 13 years ago
Oh my!! Found this in Rochester at the huge liquor store on Jefferson @ E Henrietta — 8 years ago
This is a special Pinot. Vintage in and vintage out, it is the epitome of silky and stylish. Ripe red fruit, red florals on the nose, gorgeous purity of fruit. This, along with Cristom's Mt. Jefferson are the benchmarks for entry-level Pinots from phenomenal Pinot producers. — 9 years ago
"Good wine is a necessity of life for me" - Thomas Jefferson. Golden nectar 🍯🤓 — 9 years ago
Fine bubbly. Strawberry, beautiful light orange, natural color. — 9 years ago
Great acidity, fruity like you'd expect from an Italian. Even better is the history of this vineyard and particularly Philip Mazzei - a close friend of Thomas Jefferson whose writings Jefferson paraphrased into "All men are created equal." — 11 years ago
Rich, buttery; balanced; light oak nose — 12 years ago
As Thomas Jefferson would say, "Fuck yeah!" — 8 years ago

Wonderful Virginia Wine!! — 10 years ago
Young but very good. I am finding that Pommard may be my favorite price to quality village in Burgundy. Thomas Jefferson may have been on to something. — 11 years ago
Very nice Rhone blend from the Rogue Valley, State of Jefferson — 11 years ago

This, my first wine from Virginia was very impressive. I find it interesting to think about how Thomas Jefferson failed at propgating any of the 24 vinifera varieties he brought home to Monticello and also how wine wasn't really on the map when I lived in VA for a decade in the 1990s. A wonderful, perfectly balanced, delicious VA wine can now truly await you. Will keep my eyes open for more greats from VA. — 8 years ago
