Excellent Islay malt. Lovely. warm color. Medium peatiness with creamy and fruity notes. Lingering spice and smoke. — 8 years ago
Sauturnes front giving way to heat, spice, and that musty peaty terroir. Pulls no punches, but velvet gloves every one. — 9 years ago

Sherry cask, 'comfort food' — 9 years ago
Lightly floral, slightly sweet and a touch of smoke (unpeated)... oily mouthfeel. Good dram. — 6 years ago
Super interesting, very clean and bright gin. — 6 years ago
Very peaty, campfire smoke hits the nose immediately. There’s a hint of raisin and some tar, then a long saline finish. One of the best Islay’s I’ve had. It is a beast; consider yourself warned if you prefer a lighter or fruitier flavor profile. — 7 years ago
So much peat and smoke. Also more subtle grassy notes and earthy sweetness. Super light-bodied. A great Islay scotch. — 8 years ago
I never should've doubted Ron Swanson. One of my favorites to date. Smooth as silk — 9 years ago
AJ Gubser
Nose of briny, smokey peat that's on the medicinal side (burnt rubber). Walnut, toffee, black pepper, and perhaps a hint of raisin.
Rich, intense palate of malt, toffee, roasted almond, sea shell, and the classic medicinal, smokey Laphroaig finish. Mixed in the peaty finish is a hint of bacon, plum, and pepper.
Very much Laphroaig but more rounded and with more rich, nutty notes than the 10. Not that fruity which I would expect from the sherry finish, but still delicious. — 6 years ago
