In the immortal words of @Rajat Parr, this is "Coche-like, but not quite Coche." — 8 years ago
Barbera is becoming one if the most popular wines in California, and this one will show you why. Beautiful ruby color, cherry & light oak, smooth with a lingering soft finish. A Great example of the definition of "Balanced". — 9 years ago
Hot diggity damn, that's good. In the immortal words of Jed Clampett - "Whooo doggy!" — 9 years ago
Smokey, savory roasted game, with a touch of olives and lavender with a strong core of black fruit. But I think it's the salinity that really makes this wine sing. In the immortal words of @Dag Zapatero "Yum!" I love the No Girls lineup. I find them to be a bit more approachable earlier on than Cayuse. This is the 09 Vintage. — 9 years ago
Had this with carne asada tacos, perfect match and also enjoyable on its own — 10 years ago

Looks like moscato. Smells like moscato. Slightly effervescent like a moscato. And yet it tastes dry... good with Ottolenghi recipies and adventurous souls. — 12 years ago
On the nose; ripe, ruby, floral; blackberries, blueberries dark cherries, black raspberries, caramel, mocha, vanilla, loamy soils, fresh, red florals and violets. The body is thick & full. Mocha, medium intensity baking spices, cinnamon, vanilla, milk chocolate, loamy dry souls, violets, fresh red florals, beautiful round acidity. the structure length, tension are well executed well a balance polished finish. Photos of; the entrance to the Winery with a press on east side, Layered soil structure of their Dr. Crane Vineyard and the immaculate barrel room. — 7 years ago
Tasted blind. Ruby color. Almost opaque. Young fruit forward nose. Notes of plums, mocha, dark chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and some exotic thing like eucalyptus. So rich and vibrant in the mouth. A forever finish. This wine took us in all directions. Immortal. Stan's 60th will always be remembered for the 45 Latour vs 45 Mouton mano y mano battle. A wine life moment for sure. — 8 years ago
This is the Yarra Valley rosé. Could easily pass as a red wine, it's got power and is well balanced. Red fruits and spice. A delight to drink with a chill on a warm evening. Very good value. — 8 years ago

Like the woman of my dreams: round, generous, voluptuous, complex, beautiful and sexy as hell. It's Anita Ekberg in la Dolce Vita, it's Christina Hendricks in mad men. Well you got it. Acidity gives this monster of a wine a delicate touch, an immortal length that is just phenomenal! I have said several times that Yquem is in my opinion, the best wine estate of the planet. I rest my case with this bottle. It's is truly my dream woman — 10 years ago
I’m beginning to enjoy the other varietals (than Malbec) produces in these Argentine Andean souls at high altitudes more and more. This 70% Cab / 30% Syrah blend is a lovely example of a refined mix giving intense new world character with the subtleties of old world wine making. The terroir comes thru in notes of gravel and rosemary. The fruit is big but it mildly dissipates in a most pleasant way. Drank it with a cheesy vegetable casserole with mushrooms and herbed garlic tomato sauce base... a great pairing! — 7 years ago
First off I use words from a theme of an immortal movie called Midnight Cowboy but modified to fit this post everybody talking at me - I can hear the words there saying - that is either a song for the insane or a cry for me to step up my game as my friends are crushing it lately with there wine choices of late
now that the wine is decanted for two hours and will be another hour before friends show up the first sip is so darn good / epic in fact - big bold and beautiful
Love the deep deep deep reddish color - tannins are so refined and the finish is exceedingly long that smiles are automatic
We have one more special wine tonight so stay tuned — 8 years ago
12' Pinot from SOS on the shelves at $19. Either they need to fire their manager or they're insanely charitable. I drank this out of a coffee mug and didn't once have a complaint. — 8 years ago
