Very good Bordeaux, but the notes by Moore Bros were the most accurate I've ever come across. "...complex, exotic aromas that open with griotte cherries, ripe cassis, fresh fennel, crushed violets, and sweet herbs; adding dried figs, dark cocoa, and flecks of pencil shavings as the nose evolves...". Well, I missed the figs but otherwise, yes! And in that order. Remarkable. — 8 years ago
I've been looking forward to trying this producer, and I was not let down! I can only imagine the price will lee going up... gamey, herbal, spicy, refined, elegant. So good! And 2012 is decilous now, though I'm sure will only get better! — 9 years ago

Victoire from Angelus and Clyde from K&L promoting Bordeaux! This even blend of Merlot and Cab Franc sees nothing but new oak and smells and tastes expensive. As dark as black leather, this powerful wine would be hard to pick out as a 2007. The blue fruit of the franc keeps it fresh and I could imagine it going very well with Clyde's cassoulet! — 10 years ago
Mushrooms earth tart red cherry on the nose. Palate follows suit, nice acidity. Great food wine — 10 years ago

$17, Moore Brothers, light, dry and hot — 12 years ago
Sweat nose, making me imagine it has already been ready. But initially still feeling lots of tanning. More than one hour, very smooth and I am sure that it is quite higher level than 3rd one. Of course, 2010. 8 year's vintage. Excellent! @1750, Wineplus - , 180430-180615 — 7 years ago
Our favorite from Moore Bros. so far. Smells vegetal, but not rotten or mossy. Medium bodied. Dry. Not fruity, except maybe something like sour plum. Easy to drink. — 8 years ago
Smooth encroaching Zin. Old school. The balance hides the 15% abv. Woodsy spice and cola and Dr Pepper. Moderate tannin. Very much enjoyed this. — 9 years ago
Drink at 65 degrees. — 10 years ago
All super ripe fruit, oak, tannin and not much else. Wouldn't know it was 16 years old. I'd like to try it again in another 10. Not really doing it for me at the moment but I imagine the lovers of big block busters would enjoy this. — 10 years ago
Good Zin. Clean fruit and palate with nice freshness. — 10 years ago
Contrary to other wines, D'yquem is in a class of it's own in terms of Sauternes. There is rarely, if ever, a bad year, although some years, like the 2001, stand out more than others. The disparity in quality from a GREAT d'yquem to a mediocre one & so on isn't as drastic as one might imagine. While the older vintages seem to age VERY well, it isn't as discernible from a recent vintage as other wines. Sauternes, in general are consistent, & none more than d'yquem. — 11 years ago

Tobacco, eucalyptus, and vanilla on the nose with lovely savory fig and a metallic or wrought iron mineral quality in the mouth. The acidity is quite high (med ++) and the tannins are grippy. As it keeps opening it gets even more interesting. I imagine this will age for quite some time more! — 7 years ago
