Vino que tomamos en noche vieja 2018. Sabor muy agradable y súper apetecible al beber, casa muy bien con el marisco — 7 years ago
Beautiful Priorat. Paired with Ropa Vieja. Loads of dark fruit and berries on the nose. The palate is lovely with a lengthy finish of brambly fruits, baking spices and some earthy notes. — 9 years ago
First centenarian. Smooth and not overly sweet despite the long aging. Reminiscent of a nice Tawny port. Would drink again, if I could find one! — 5 years ago
Notes of red fruit like strawberry and raspberries. Earthy notes, light to medium body. Good acidity. Paired well with ropa vieja. — 6 years ago
Fruity fruity fruity — 7 years ago
Full-bodied, taste of very ripe figs, dried prunes or jam (very pronounced, almost like it was made with raisins..). Also has a dry, tannic character. A tasty wine worth trying, but know what to expect! — 7 years ago
Sleeping juice tonight - very light perfect for the late night tipple for me 👌 — 8 years ago
Medium body, pairs well with my warm med olives, Boursin cheese, and grapes. — 9 years ago
La Plazuela is the name of the old family winery (from 1851) located at the “plazuela de la iglesia” (the small square, next to the church), with the old amphoras and where the wine is aged. The wine is 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from 80 year old bush vines. Aging for 15 months in new French oak. Deep red with dark fruit aromas with cedar notes. On the palate black cherry flavors with espresso and cacao notes, firm tannins on a well balanced structure. The finish ends with oak tones, about medium. — 10 years ago
A little angry, lean and uneven to start. Needed a night after being open to calm down and integrate. A relaxed rosso drinks better: strawberry, black cherry, red plum, licorice and herbs. I love the classic profile. I never thought I’d say this, but I don’t love the aggressive acidity - probably the result of a cool and difficult vintage - that is waging war with my stomach lining. This lean wine needs food. I’d suggest something richer and fattier than the Ropa Vieja (night 1) and Amy’s frozen vegetarian lasagna (night 2). — 6 years ago
