First vintage of a joint venture between two important Italian wine families. Bright ruby color. Black cherry and mulberry fruit on the nose with an intense hit of volcanic ash and soft herbal hints. Ripe red fruit flavors with a flinty note on the finish. Medium bodied with intense acidity. Polished. Good food wine. — 4 years ago
Bar Idda w MC. Recommended by Lisa, their most expensive wine at approx $85. Very distinct flavours of the two varieties are retained in the blend. — 11 years ago

This is an oddball from the Gaia team and quite $$$. The half empty wine- bottle gained weight and flavor in my fridge door over a full week. Touch bitter, apricot, stone fruits, still very fresh and alive, citrus notes, touch honey 🍯 and some sprinkles of nuttiness. I wonder how this will evolve over the next five to ten years? It certainly has the stuffing to do so - kind of a sleeper wine. Given its evolution in the fridge, (shaken but not stirred à la James Bond). — 12 hours ago
