I really loved this wine. It was a recommendation by the sommelier and turned out to be fantastic. Berry nose - that upon taste has a beautiful sweet licorice with a slight hint of spice. What makes this wine even more fantastic is the in mouth nasal nose that rises - it's beautifully floral that adds depth to the awesomeness of this wine. Opened last night with pizza a little left to try again today.

2009. I can keep smelling this wine all night if I had to - great nose. Typical red fruit, roses, and a hint of licorice and mint. And the high tannin and acid typical in Barolo are so balanced. Very approachable and enjoyable despite its youth. — 11 years ago
