Apple flavors. Alcohol taste. Great champagne! Hejdå huset i Torekov:(... — 12 years ago
An old half bottle- among the first with a government warning and before even the days of Remy importing the Champagne. @Garth Hodgdon and I are both guessing released around 1989 and perhaps based on a late 70's harvest. This still had a touch of pressure and almond like complexity to spare. Big acid on the back end will keep it going for a long time! — 10 years ago
I was surprised that despite a big fan of amarone, I knew little about this little gem. Tried it for the first time at a tasting of valpolicella, and I was very impressed. Drinks great. Has plenty of the fruit and tannic backbone that I like in an Italian wine along with some mineral tones, and the price is excellent.
The range of this grape in the hands of these guy is amazing. Great value wine — 11 years ago

I drank this at their open house, and at the time I thought it was one of the best 2011's we tasted. This is another example of a wine that will have the "experts" pondering the 2011 vintage. This may be similar to a 2003 for selected wineries. I'll go on the record that I like it - a lot. — 11 years ago
2009. I can keep smelling this wine all night if I had to - great nose. Typical red fruit, roses, and a hint of licorice and mint. And the high tannin and acid typical in Barolo are so balanced. Very approachable and enjoyable despite its youth. — 12 years ago

Nose has strong notes of that musty barnyardy pinot skunk I love so much. Full rich mouth feel, tastes of juicy dark cherries and strawberry. Big fan of this in particular and Sta. Rita Hills pinots in general. — 10 years ago
