Went very nicely with Shrimp, Orzo and olives. Also John Dory with a similar prep. $35, Bleu Olive, Durham NC — 8 years ago
From Dory - rich and fruity and smooth. Not syrup-y but sweet. Paired great with my quinoa — 9 years ago

Paired with John Dory + soya sauce :) — 10 years ago
Delightful, especially with the roasted John Dory and saffron scampi.
Minerality but smooth, perhaps some white peach and a marshmallow/meringue that develops as it warms. Keep off the chill! — 6 years ago

Lemon sherbet. Very unusual nv still wine from champagne. Intense lemon flavour paired with a John Dory and lime kumquats. Struggled a little but this wine is worth a try with a delicate white fish. — 9 years ago
Delicious blend w/ Vicki. Mid-holiday cheer @ The John Dory Oyster Bar — 9 years ago
This wine is like a purebred horse at the race track. It’s consistent loves a little black licorice treat and opens up beautifully after warm up. You’ll get notes of candied orange and leathery spices like some hunky stable man let you pet the ponies. — 7 years ago

Drank 3/26/16 with pan fried John Dory, it was outstanding from the first sip to the last. — 9 years ago
Brief decant then enjoyed with a duck breast au poivre. Old school, un-spoofy Bordeaux. Still young, showing cassis, cedar, green olive, a touch of saddle leather. Missing toasty oak, gobs of any damn thing, fruit munitions, or any sort of jacked jelly donut bullshit. Glad this is still made. 1000 Points. Re-buy? Damn right! I'd hold and wait for it to resolve more. Oh yeah, listening to "Hunky Dory." Goes really well with 'Andy Warhol.' — 10 years ago

Met up with @Kimberly Anderson and her hunky husband Chad at Proxi in Chicago and brought a few bottles. The La Mish was youthful but very open and broad knit. A wafting bouquet of crushed rock/violets, blue and black fruits and just an amazingly seamless, powerful, texturally vibrant wine. Had an amazing time with the Anderson’s and my Pop as well :) — 6 years ago
