Met up with @Kimberly Anderson and her hunky husband Chad at Proxi in Chicago and brought a few bottles. The La Mish was youthful but very open and broad knit. A wafting bouquet of crushed rock/violets, blue and black fruits and just an amazingly seamless, powerful, texturally vibrant wine. Brief decant then enjoyed with a duck breast au poivre. Old school, un-spoofy Bordeaux. Still young, showing cassis, cedar, green olive, a touch of saddle leather. Missing toasty oak, gobs of any damn thing, fruit munitions, or any sort of jacked jelly donut bullshit. Glad this is still made. 1000 Points. Re-buy? Damn right! I'd hold and wait for it to resolve more. Oh yeah, listening to "Hunky Dory." Goes really well with 'Andy Warhol.' — 10 years ago
