Marmalade colored from 375ml. An acquired taste, this has clarity a good level of sweetness and balance. Not sure if I love the flavor overall though... Sort of tokaji-ish. But a quality wine for sure — 10 years ago

Green crisp Granny Smith, fresh lemon, cilantro, grass, glycerol, crushed wet stone on the palate. Fresh and zippy. Med+ finish. Intense and concentrated. Slightly tannic. Bone dry. — 2 years ago
Lemon, peach and stone. Nice mouth feel. Delicious — 2 years ago
Unique barnyardy aroma. Hibiscus. Super drinkable; especially in the humidity. Almost like a wild ale. Can’t wait to pick up another bottle. — 4 years ago
Very aromatic Riesling from Alsace. Melon, white flowers, orange peel, even hint of ginger on those nose. Beautiful deep yellow, almost gold color. Mouth watering acidity with a persistent finish — 6 years ago
Intensely floral. Lychee is prominent on the nose. Mouthwatering acid. Great wine. — 9 years ago
WOTN, tasted at a recent Wines of Alsace media dinner. If ever there was an example of a pitch-perfect Pinot Gris, surely it is this, the 2013 Ostertag Vin D'Alsace Fronholz, a lively dance of lanolin, honey, quince, dewy pear, fruit and stony minerality. In the mouth, it's fresh with a kind of nuanced complexity and twinkling acidity that is rare to find in this demure grape. Seafoam and lilting citrus notes tumble forth at the close. 14.0% ABV | Sample — 9 years ago
Beautiful on the nose & palate -white flowers, stone fruit, crushed stone - awesome — 11 years ago
I've never had a wine that tastes like this. At first hits you like a mature sweet wine, but without the presence of residual sugar. And then the savory notes come on, namely collard greens with the aunt you never had's bad touch of ham hock. Exquisite, pure, mature, $37! — 12 years ago
Delicious. Would’ve preferred a bit more age on this, to balance out the sweetness… but ~7 years is enough to make it interesting. Paired incredibly well with the Golden Eye Snapper course at ATOMIX. I look forward to trying a 15-years old vintage; great QPR. — 9 months ago
Sweet and amazing!!

A very different and distinct nose... some sauternes aromas along with honey and spring flowers. A rich body with a slight honey sweetness. Alsatian Adventure private tasting. — 3 years ago

Loved this wine. I dont usually favor pinot gris, but really enjoyed this one. A little fruit forward but not sweet. I cant have beer , so drank with boiled crawfish. It was great! — 6 years ago
