Nose end entry of this wine is graphite, ash, violets, pencil shavings, dates. This one had a hodgepodge of different things going on. A very terroir-driven wine. I think it really needed about 30 minutes to come out of its lumber, because the first taste I had made my neck bend just a little bit. This settled into a very nice wine. This one almost seems to be timeless, and I have a feeling that this one will stay just the way it is for another 20 years or so if you let it. It may develop some more tart and plum and prune characteristic, but I'm not so sure that would be a bad thing! Drinking nicely. — 6 years ago

This wine is absolutely amazing. It pours into the glass as a deep yellow/gold that sort of looks like Chardonnay that has gone around the bend. It has a vermouth-y nose with a whole bunch of maple, vanilla, and celery (!?!?!). When you taste it, it has absolutely not a trace of sweetness. It’s pretty compact at first, but it opens up into something g completely unexpected and delightfully flavorful with a richness that don’t expect ( and really never find) in a white wine. It’s not like anything I’ve ever had, and I mean that in the best way possible. I hope that I can find it in the States at some point as wines from the Jura aren’t very common. Give it a whirl. It’s not for everyone, but quite different and delicious. — 5 years ago
After an afternoon on the lake, we settled in for some pasta...and some Pinot. DFV seems to over deliver every time I pull a bottle. Beautifully textured, elegant and creamy raspberry and subtle earthiness. Fabulous blend from two distinct vineyards, Horseshoe Bend and Campbell Ranch. — 7 years ago
Like the end of summer. Warm dried figs and ripe. strawberries. So so good. — 8 years ago
Enjoyable, I didn't enjoy the day it was opened but it held up well for several days. A bit sharp and petrol-y but the residual sugar smoothed things over on the finish. — 9 years ago
2012. Perfect. Not too sweet. — 11 years ago

Really enjoyed this! Much richer in mouthfeel than some of the other vintages and vineyards (Horseshoe, Bearwallow). — 6 years ago

Davis Family Pinot Noir!! My new love — 10 years ago
A blend I couldn't have made a preconceived notion of (37% Grenache Blanc, 37% Albariño, 26% Verdelho). All parts played beautifully & the co-ferment creates a singular wine of character & finesse, but one which delivers flavor & depth along with great White wines from the corresponding global regions. Stunning. — 11 years ago

Rhonely Boy
Fresh batch, nose is clean with notes of grapefruit, guava, slight floral. same notes on palette, fizz is noticeable on pour and becomes non visible. Fine texture. Wine is clear, last pour slightly clouded, may vary by bottle being Fiz Nat (Pet Nat). 12.4% ABV. Super easy sipper. More please! — 5 years ago
