This is last of my 2010-2012 vertical tasting. Dark Ruby (not as dark as ‘10 & ‘11) of this Second Growth Bordeaux. A difficult year but Henri Lurton did a great job creating a wonderful wine. A complex nose of ripe dark fruits and tobacco notes. Palate displays blackberry & ripe cherry, gentle espresso and oak with soft tannins that is great to drink now with some aging potential. Deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of ripe berry fruits, pepper spice with earthy tones, 100% ,Tempranillo, aged for 24 months in American and French oak. On the palate flavors of plum and jammy cherry, tobacco, oak, pepper spice, lively acidity. Fine chewy tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and an earthy character. Showing it’s Biodynamicism. Drinking beautifully. — 5 years ago
Medium–light bodied. Really faint tannins and mellow acids. Violets, herbs, earthy. At first taste was afraid it was too fruit forward but it quickly developed into a drier, more savory profile. Was delicious with the French dinner at Le Crocodile. — 5 years ago
Anniversary dinner at Seven Reasons. AMAZING wine! Medium bodied. Spicy on the end. Comforting and beautiful. Paired with butternut squash cacao tart, lamp with pepita sauce, and Argentine steak — 6 years ago

Odd duck. It could be other factors but this was my favorite to date — 4 years ago
The flavor profile is kind of like Cab Franc, with notes of dehydrated strawberry (like Special K red berries), mushroom, and a kiss of oak. Medium bodied. Wonderful acid, and still had some tannins. — 4 years ago
Bought this French white wine to cook with, turns out it’s a killer bottle to drink, too. 😍 — 5 years ago
