This is supposedly 97% Garnacha, not Tempranillo. Wonderfully smooth and flavorful. Best Christmas wine so far. Started with $10 Don David, and now up to this for $20. Tonight a big jump to $60 CDP! — 4 years ago
Interesting Garnacha/Syrah Blend from Catalonia. Intense aromas of red and black fruit with notes of minerals, stones and baking spices. Dried (intense) red and black berry flavors along with hints of toast and those baking spices. A bit of a green leafy quality which is quite pleasant. Creamy texture. Fine and velvety tannins and nice ruby color. Harmonious and well balanced. Excellent QPR. — 5 years ago
Lots of red fruit on the nose. Strawberries and raspberries upfront with herbs and tabaco following. Good amount of tannins at the end. — 5 years ago

I don’t understand why the average rating from everyone else is 8.7? I am tasting the latest vintage 2019 three months after bottling and I think it’s delicious. Which is hard for me to say because Herencia Altes is competition for my wines and they sell their entry level wines at prices so low that it’s absolutely impossible to turn a profit or compete with them. This wine has been aged in concrete semi-oval tanks on lees for 2 months with Battonage and then 6 months without the lees. On the nose it has medium(+) aromas and flavours and it almost seems like it has been fermented in oak. Medium(+) body, the alcohol is high 14% and while it is fairly supported and balanced by the ripe and expressive citrus fruit and the medium acidity, the alcohol lingers on and warms your chest. The finish is medium(+) and elegant. #terraalta #spain #garnachablanca #grenacheblanc — 4 years ago

Delicious. Oak on the nose but not as much on the palate. Red fruits. Spice on the finish. Would definitely buy again. — 4 years ago

Nicely structure with a persistent finish, soft tanins. Nose surprisingly close to a chard from CA. Very decent value. — 5 years ago
The most refined Pisco that I tasted in Peru, using it to make a Pisco Sour would be a waste. I had it poured over a single cube of ice and it was delicious. — 5 years ago
