One of my favorite #orange wines. Hazy, cidery, juicy, totally funky skin contact vibes. Doesn’t suffer from being overly dry like some organes. Stock up for summer as it doesn’t suffer in flavour when it warms slightly on a hot afternoon. — 6 years ago
OMG, absolutely delightful. Best 100% Grenache I have ever had. Bought from the winery 2006 and personal tasting with Ron Laughton. Amazing. — 7 years ago
Dry and juicy with slight creamy finish — 8 years ago
Absolutely delicious shiraz the alcohol even though high doesn't seem like it. Very elegant Shiraz — 9 years ago
Opaque dark purple color. This wine took a while to open up. Not that great right out of the bottle but this wine developed with some air. Aromas were very savory and organic. (Violets, cedar, bramble and just a hint of blackberry). Blueberry , Blackberry and dark plum fruit flavors evolved with time. Not the fruit bomb I was expecting. Nice hint of smokey oak on the finish. — 4 years ago
Currant and perfume on the nose with some vanilla and subtle saline minerality. Full bodied dark fruits, velvet on the tongue, great mouthfeel. Tight, moderately tannic, then a smooth prolonged finish.

I have probably rated this better than I should cause I was having a celebration. I enjoyed it a whole lot at the time! — 6 years ago
Earthy aromas with a touch of iodine with medicinal/cough medicine type aromas. Pruney notes. None of this is a negative, in fact pretty typical Heathcote. Known as a home for full bodied Shiraz but this wine at 12 years with supple tannins and medium to full bodied is very drinkable for someone who is gravitating away from full throttle Shiraz. — 7 years ago
2008v. Dark violet. Lots of skin pigment in there when I poured the wine through a screen strainer. On the nose, there's ripe dark fruit, baking spice, oak planks (like smelling wood boards), and a hint of menthol or eucalyptus. On the palette, the fruit is ripe (not overripe, like jam), but then dries out on the tongue. Tannins are soften by 10yrs of age but retain just the slightest grip. A very lovely Aussie Shiraz, that is very well integrated and pleasant to drink. 13.5% ABV. — 8 years ago
The 2nd of two Viogniers served blind by Sue Bell, and what a mouthful of flavour. Apricots - low to medium acid a honeyed note. French oak playing an accompanying role. A label new to me - a full throttle white to match the full bodied reds from the district. Very impressive. — 5 years ago
Mid crimson in colour. Tarry savoury berry aromas. On the palate medium to full bodied with earth tar and liquorice ~ typical of mature Heathcote. Tannins resolved. The 15.5%ABV largely hidden. Amazing intensity and flavour considering its age - powerful in fact - also some sweetness. Jasper Hill largely contributed to putting Heathcote on the map. — 6 years ago
Funky yet fruity and smooth — 7 years ago
Best and fattest Victorian Shiraz I've ever had! — 8 years ago

Nice medium body wine that's bright and in the Rhone style. Great with casual food you would have with this style wine. — 9 years ago

Mild fragrance of flowers and berries. Slight acidity, but enough punch. Will definitely hold up to burgers tonight! — 4 years ago
