Nutt Road Vineyard Riesling 2013

Wow - with grapes sourced from Nutt Road vineyards managed by Peter Martini this has inviting peach and apple aromas and a level of sweetness balance with acidity that provide a full lush feel with a medium finish that has a bit of cream that makes this special — 10 years ago

Gueuzerie Tilquin

Oude Quetsche Tilquin à L'Ancienne Belgian Lambic Ale

Hint of grapefruit and apricot. A beautiful crisp, refreshing beer. Perfect to cleanse the palette. Not for the faint of heart. — 11 years ago

Clos Saron

Heart of Stone Sierra Foothills Syrah 2005

Just an amazing expression of Terroir, totally naked and brilliantly balanced, including dusty tannins and dito minerality, Syrah spice and a meat stock infused finish. Note to Self - Clos Saron rules! — 12 years ago

Domaine du Pegau

Cuvée Réservé Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2004

2004 Pegau. Always great. My favorite wine. Give me a vertical of Pegau on a desert island and I am happy. The family preferred the Cab so I enjoyed almost all of this delicious 04. Fighting with my waiter for the last pour in the bottle. Not the greatest vintage but so well balanced and intergrated flavors tonight. The seaweed/barnyard nose was just perfect with my steak at 910. — 11 years ago

Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc

2012 Rutherford - nice example of a great SB vineyard in the heart of CS territory. Rangpur lime, vanillin , kiss of herb - fresh & dried. Nice length no screech or burn. — 11 years ago

Dry Finger Lakes Riesling 2012

Just what I needed on a hot, humid day. None of the nuttiness of the Patrician Verona -- just crisp citrus and refreshing acidity. — 11 years ago

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2010

Ahiru store Tokyo wine #2. on my list of desert island wines. more structure than the arbois #1, and, as usual, amazing. — 13 years ago

Il Cuore

The Heart Barbera 2009

Pulled this out of the cellar as a three year throwback to our trip to Sonoma at March Break 2012. Color upon pouring was a deep ruby verging on purple. The cork had crystals developing. First nose and taste to come. It's breathing as we speak. The nose is quite soft, the fruits are balanced and the tannins are mellow. Finish is medium and quite pleasant. Per the winemaker, this vintage is a mix of Barbera, Zinfandel, Merlot and Syrah. Quite tasty! — 11 years ago

Apothic

Winemaker's Blend California Zinfandel Blend 2012

Love it for what it is. An inexpensive easy drinking after work kind of red wine. It is a little sweet but certainly not in the desert wine category. I think people who typically don't like reds would like this. — 11 years ago
