Very mature tannins lightly coating the tongue. Full berry and slight cedar. Light finish leaving desire for longer taste. — 6 years ago
To me, this is an underrated wine on this site. It recently received 91 pts from a renowned reviewer and in my mind it is worth every point. When you combine the price point, the wonderful blend, and the expressive nose of dark berries and cherries, you’ll find a Bordeaux that goes well with red meats, pork loin, lamb, turkey, and hard cheeses. The finish lingers pleasantly and end each swallow with a desire for “just one more please!” — 7 years ago
Clean and peppery, some red fruit, very light tannins. Drank lighter than a Pinot, but with enough body to satisfy. A winner. — 8 years ago
Tropical fruit front, oak is well integrated not adding much creaminess or flavor, nice and fresh acidity. — 9 years ago
First bottle was corked. Took it back and exchanged it at my local wine store and they were more than happy to switch it out. After acquiring the new bottle, I let it breathe for approximately 16 hours before imbibing what was otherwise a fantastic wine. Large plum and blackberry notes brought this magenta toro to life. A hint of spice and mild tannins on the finish left a pleasant intrigue that only spurred the desire for a second, third, and fourth glass. — 9 years ago
If I had one sentence to describe this wine, it is this: "Ca' Togni is the definition of desire." The vintage was a 2006, and let me tell ya, have the years been great to this mistress! Showing a deep brick red color, and a wine still showing all its wonderful fruits, with an expected maturity thrusting forth delightful complexity, this wine will make you love Black Hamburg! (Black Muscat) On the nose, notes of dried figs, dried rose petals, old leather, strawberry-rubarb jam, followed by a pallet of racy dark maraschino cherries, brown spices, and a vanilla finish. Phillip Togni is a hell of a wine maker out of Spring Mountain! I highly recommend trying one of these, even if it is $50, it was most certainly worth it! On top of that, it is 1 of only three wines he crafts, still in his 80's, still the king of the mountain. — 9 years ago
It has the typical boldness you desire in a Cab yet smooth at the same time. Yummy and very drinkable. — 10 years ago
We had this tonight in memory of our friend and winemaking colleague Eric Dunham of Dunham Cellars in Walla Walla who sadly passed away. I know it's not his wine, but I also know he would've loved its green chocolate nose and rambunctious berry flavors. Rest in peace ED. Say hello to Robert Mondavi! — 11 years ago

Satisfied that barnyard desire, but not true bottom of foot funk, in a good way. — 6 years ago
Last bottle, fair to call this a white blend, maybe even an orange wine. Light pumpkin orange in color, excellent clarity. Floral and sulfite notes in nose initially. Stone fruit flavors - apricot, ripe peach - plus spice (wood? white pepper?) and a touch of vanilla with moderate skin astringency and lemon-orange flavor in finish. Love this winery and what they do — 6 years ago
Fantastic wine, crispy and tasty, for the moment my Tuscan desire, glorious Cabernet that tighten up the performance. Still young but approachable when decanted. Vintage 2014 — 7 years ago
Freakin' delicious — 8 years ago
Dark fruit, smoke and dark flowers. — 8 years ago
I had this at dinner a month ago or so. Although I don't remember the taste profile, I do remember how good it was and desire more. — 9 years ago
Happy with this Tempranillo. It's not the blockbuster wine you may desire, but it pairs well with sushi and The People Vs. OJ. — 9 years ago
A fine example of why I search out Spanish reds when I don't want to spend a lot but desire a more complex and interesting wine. Spices, blackberries, graphite, black cherries...lingering finish...richer fruit with that touch of the land itself that I adore. A new favorite for sure. — 9 years ago
Ewwwwwwww. Not really. It's great :) — 10 years ago
Look burgundy, nose fruit, earth flavors ripe boysenberry, plums, oak chocolate on the back a bit of heat also — 10 years ago
THIS... is... Seriously. Good. Phucking. shtuff. Surprisingly good...? Maybe. Luckily good..? Perhaps. Unless you've met Dirty: Which most of the wine drinking USA has -but, rather, intentionally fucking good. AND -possibly luckily too -as long as luck has something to do with exceptionally talented farming combined with tremendous desire(s) to make vibrant and ridiculously love-able fermented grape juice of pure integrity and a casually particular design. This wine is that friend you only get to see once a year, that one you cannot wait to see again. The wine is too young to rate with any opinion other than Rawesome, and while I've only had one bottle, I've certainly not had enough to offer an opinion against Rawsome -therefore tasting notes be damned -yet, this can be said: here is a clean wine, lacking brett or VA or other 'flaws'; a bright, refreshing jubilant anthem of untainted wine, an ode to a grape that will likely become California's bastard child once popularity hits and Dirty & Rowdy prices climb to astronomical, near Tempier-like pricing and ficcichlty to come by. (I liked ficcichlty over difficulty since spellcheck kept it purposely so did I.). Oh wait, they're already ficcichlt to come by. Damn it. — 12 years ago
The wine is taking a long time to blow off the funk but the elegance is shining through - color has not broken down but not fruit forward which I am glad - structure still in tact 19 years later and finish is softer than I desire but bottom line drinking and enjoying and helping me absorb shitty music like John Denver my wife is playing / I pray her playlist ends soon / this wine is not to be enjoyed by itself like I am doing as I started a diet so no cheese 😢 / this is not going to age and get better so enjoy if you have - just a little smile tonight — 6 years ago
This is a delicious red, on the lighter side, but it doesn’t give up any depth or complexity in the process. I appreciate wine that recognizes what it’s made of. This wine has enough fruit to satisfy my desire while retaining an acceptable level of dryness. — 7 years ago
@Bryce Wiatrak here is another one. Is there someone else at Delectable that I should bother with these updates/fixes? Desire Lines Wine Co is the producer. Cole Ranch is the vineyard. The assistant winemaker at Bedrock and his wife started this project recently. Any help possible? — 7 years ago
Really nice, dry w/cranberry accents. — 8 years ago
Lemon and lime with a sweet salinity, wild thyme, medium finish. Produced from grapes grown within a hundred feet of the Mediterranean near Riomaggiore. On the back in Italian it says "In the gold of the drop, the flavor is desire, a soul that travels in spirit and mystery." Sold! — 9 years ago
Paradise Springs a Local winery to me developed a well balanced Cabernet that could compete with any Napa Cabernet that I currently have in my wine cellar. Hitting all the necessary smokey tannins and with deep hints of tobaccos and rich flavors of blackberry. Hints of oak seep through the richness of the wine as the dryness of the Cabernet leave and echo of desire to drink more. Truly a wonderfully rich wine for such a local winery. A delectable red for an everyday drink of sorts. — 9 years ago
power, youthful purple color for a 2003. Deep and powerful and energetic. Spearmint Raspberries, beets, rhubarb, a bit flat or simple, lacking the complexity I would desire from such a price point — 10 years ago
Trousseau, Jura...if you haven't tried it yet do it. This particular one was a really beautiful perfect representation of it. Elegant...which is great because this can sometimes be a challenging wine for people who aren't familiar with it. — 10 years ago
Good price to value ratio. — 11 years ago

Tastes like a fine Bandol red at $16.00. What more could one desire? All the garrigue, dark bitterness, and structure you want in a Provençal red. More Kaa the snake than a Rhône Baloo the bear, pick up a few of these to set aside. Fabulous. — 6 years ago
