On the Lawn at Tanglewood for our final evening of the season, pre & post-season the BSO fills the Lawn with Popular Artists. Tonight we're relaxing with Ben Harper and Troy Andrews, aka 'Trombone Shorty'. A lively show is ahead, fingers crossed we're trending more towards the New Orleans funk tonight.

Nose has blend of ripe and under-ripe strawberry, maraschino cherry and rhubarb pastry.

Palate has rehydrated cherry, dried strawberry and hints of fresh green herbs. Nice balance, clean, needs some more air to really get going, our final bottle of the vintage. FAW ♥️♥️ — 7 years ago

Drew at Harper Voit uses a lite hand when it comes to crafting wines. Got two and decided to open one to see how it's tasting at such a young age. Right out of the bottle with no time to breath...exceptional at such a young age. Delicate and pure red fruit! Long lush slight smokey finish. — 10 years ago

Premier nez Laurence me souffle fumée... je comprends bien son descriptif que j’associe plus à un côté cendré qu’on retrouve chez DRC. Au nez on a aussi de la rose, des fruits rouges et légèrement un peu de vanille. En bouche, ca explose, ca tapisse, c’est soyeux, mais on voit toutes les saveurs un peu sur la retenue. Belle longue finale. Sera encore plus harmonieux dans 5 ans. — 8 years ago

Escapade 2014 - France Gonzalvez

On prend du plaisir à boire l'Escapade. On se voit bien partir avec, pour destination, la ligne d'horizon. Partir pour de bon, pas pour quitter ceux que l'on aime, mais plutôt pour s'offrir un moment hors du temps. Casser le rythme, s'affranchir des impératifs, se soustraire à la gravité, au propre comme au figuré. On rêve tous un peu de ça, non ? Ce soir, c'est France Gonzalvez qui est aux manettes. Décollage !

Ce 100% Chardonnay est bien le moteur de ce périple. Le nez annonce la douceur : agrumes, tilleul et acacia, verveine et fleurs blanches sur une pointe de beurre et une note finale sur la noisette. En bouche : aucune trahison, tout s'inscrit dans la continuité, c'est vif mais pas sec, c'est long, c'est suave, avec une touche légèrement minérale. On aimerait vous en dire plus mais notre bouteille est déjà vide. Mince, tout cela n'était donc qu'une fulgurante fugue.
