It's not as good as the harlan but this behemoth is pleasing like riding a monster truck thru the mud after a boozy tequila shot — 11 years ago
Wonderfully zippy. That's totally a wine word. Don't doubt it. — 11 years ago
From the famed Prichard Hill estate vineyard, this 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a cult wine, rubbing shoulders with Screaming Eagle, Harlan and Colgin. The nose is typical of Napa Cab, with rich aromas of steeped blackberries, cassis, saddle leather, spice box and carmelized brown sugar. On the palate, it's silky, sexy and nicely balanced. There is a lovely, polished interplay of fine tannins and glycerol, along with darker notes of saddle leather, cedar, and espresso beans. Medium plus finish. — 10 years ago
Legit. Wow. I'll take this over Harlan any day — 11 years ago
Not a fan of white wine, but this wasn't bad — 10 years ago
This is some *seriously* good Syrah. Right up there in terms of quality with the big wines from Alban Vineyards, Ovid, and Harlan Estate.
Immense fruity palate, but not in an overpowering way. Gobs and gobs of complexity and character to the nose and taste, and a lingering aftertaste that never seems to fade. And the dryness. The dryness and fruitiness in combination will blow your mind with every sip
Astounding wine. Truly astounding. — 11 years ago

B
1993 Screaming Eagle Cab. Drank at Press w K, Iana, S, and AG. Such a treat and very interesting as Kplanned it as a comp with the 1991 Harlan. For the first hour or so, we all favored the SE. Super unctuous and round, like velvet in the mouth. Then the wines came to temp and the picture completely changed and we all grew to favor the Harlan. Interestingly, the SE got flabby and very, very sweet. A thought it was bc it lacked the tannins that the Harlan showed. Anyway, SE turned almoSt port-like, with a nose of dates, raisins, and prunes. Amazing and fun to see the change throughout the night. — 10 years ago
