Caymus isn't a wine that drinks well when young, so those people who are drinking 2013 now are idiots. Showing so nicely and paired especially well with the ribeye steak. Graphite, vanilla, cassis, and dusty black fruit. Still firm tannins suggest another 5-10 years wouldn't hurt, but, wow, is it tasty right now. Glad I waited 5 years. Got as a recommendation from City Wines. Very very good! — 10 years ago
The best sherry house! I particularly live the amontillado, yet the PX is excellent as well. — 12 years ago

Deep Cherry color, with a hint of smokey oak. Went well with BBQ pork loin. — 9 years ago
Gutierrez Colosia Fino "Amerigo". A special Fino of about 6 years avg age. Goes through a second fortification to give it a little muscle and then is bottled en Rama. Classically Fino: salty, nutty, and savory. But with a little more density and certainly tastes more serious. — 10 years ago
Unctuous salinity, waxy tree fruit, sea air and spices. Taut acidity, surprising. Bone dry finish. Excellent Fino. — 10 years ago
Mugaritz bottling, cheap — 12 years ago
Birthday wine from @Victoria Gutierrez thanks! — 8 years ago
Old bush vines in Xaló, made by Violeta Gutierrez de la Vega and her husband Alberto Redrado. Foot trodden, whole cluster fermented, aged a year in French barriques and another year in an old American oak foudre. Very savory, black cherries dipped in balsamic vinegar and rolled in dried herbs. Somewhat similar to vermouth or Barolo Chinato. — 8 years ago
Very good Tempranillo rosé. Fruity, strawberry nose, saline/mineral on the palate. — 9 years ago
