Thanks to all the talk lately about Cabernet Franc made me want to open another Loire beauty. On the nose I am getting cherry, raspberry, currant, a chalky note, graphite, and some pepper. The palate finds very expressive, rasperry, plum, the typical vegetal notes, bell pepper, firm tannins, and good acidity. Another good Cab Franc from the Loire. Beautiful light brown color. Gasoline, earthy notes. Light bodied less tannin, after the dryness is gone, gentle sweetness reminds in your mouth with a short finish. Can't resist the second sip. — 9 years ago

Slight floral quality to the edgy sweetness and gorgeous black fruit. I suspect some co-fermentation here (Viognier). Lovely, lively, and lithe on the palate. Plenty of acids here, so this will pair with nearly any meats. Just to reiterate, this is not your typical Paso syrah (no offense), but an elegant rendition of the grape. — 9 years ago
