Liking this with a little escargot at Paul Bert, Paris — 11 years ago
Fruit-forward, assertively flavored Pinot. Offered some complexity in showing a range of fruit from attack through finish, but would have liked a bit more savory notes. Paired well with escargot and Coq au Vin. — 9 years ago

Excellent French Bistro. Escargot, beef tartar, other great food. The wine was superb. 2 bottles in. — 10 years ago
Fascinating wine, distinct aroma of fresh mushrooms, very unusual in a white, this would be an interesting one to play with wine pairings, something that demands high acid with this extreme earthiness, maybe escargot? Or cassoulet? Either way, special to encounter a wine with such a distinct personality. — 10 years ago
Enjoyed with escargot atop a watercress soup, and trout at Bistro Vendome in Denver, CO. $12/glass ... but the waiter gave me a free refill! :) — 10 years ago
Awesome balance rich and luscious with a tart mineral finish, great with all the French fare on the table from oysters to escargot, and in a half bottle format perfect for lunch! — 10 years ago
Fleur de Savagnin 2011(Ouillé)
Dominant character on the nose is floral, white flowers, mineral lemon, very light notes of white peach & almond.
Palate is bone dry with zesty grapefruit and stone/saline drying character, saps at the palate from the off but has a mineral weight with high acidity. (V good food match - cheese & escargot) — 11 years ago
Dan Michael
Delicious half bottle, funky (in a good way) French wood in the nose, rich front with bracing acidity behind and beautiful citrus finish. Fantastic with escargot in puff pastry! — 9 years ago
