Wine similar to south of France burgundy wine — 6 years ago
One of THE superb values in the US market for Hautes Côtes de Nuits. This is the Saint Martin Monopole which delivers serious gravitas and value. Lemon oil, golden apple, white flowers, honey and butterscotch delivered with very fine acidity and seamless texture. Mouthfeel is silky and superb. — 8 years ago
Excellent Gascogne Ugni/Colombard blend. Super fresh, with lemon, tangerine, & floral accents. Great for a warm SoCal "fall" night. — 9 years ago

2002 is drinking quite nice — 9 months ago
2012 vintage. Solid cork and fill. Decanted and tasted after 20 mins and 45 mins. Medium body. Nice dusty, dirty, funky nose with just a hint of barnyard that dissipated quickly. Great integration and showing quite well currently. Likely another 5-7 years in this current state. Not improving at this point 12.13.24. — a year ago

First thing I notice is the golden color. Very floral, white flowers, can smell the green stem of a flower. Smells very hot, with mineral/shell/slate. Also smells sweet, honey suckle, and butterscotch. Must be oaked at least slightly. Tastes hot, high acidity, citrus notes/grapefruit. Very juicy as well, in guava, pineapple, tropical fruits for sure, and green grapes. Also low mouth feel, aka thin, but it is refreshing. I've never tried either of these grapes and really enjoy it. Pretty complex and tasty! — 9 years ago
Starts out bitter, but opens up right after. — 4 years ago
Demi-sucre vraiment bien après souper — 6 years ago
Gripping, austere, reductive, mineral-laced and utterly cerebral. That describes the general appeal of this very well-crafted entry level bottling. But it remains expressive, aromatic, lifted and graceful. This vintage has proven to be one of the best gateways into serious and traditional Burgundy wines for many of my customers, earning it a couple of extra points from me. — 7 years ago

Vintage 2010 | 15 y old and still fruit, always a bit sturdy - which I like - good balanced for the long haul and now drinking perfect. If all Bordeaux would be this good… paired with a beef schnitzel and red cabbage apple mint cole slaw. — 7 months ago
