Orange blossom, lemon curd, and hay. Fairly light skin contact. — 5 years ago
The inviting breadiness and nuttiness on the nose reeled me in. There’s also aromas of yellow pears, green apples, and white flowers. On the palate it’s full bodied with an acidity that’s very well behaved and balanced. For flavors it’s a bowlful of mellow fruit like yellow pears, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe, getting an uplifting brightness from tart green apples. This is some awesome Prosecco. — 7 years ago

Magnum from Rusty Staub wine auction. DRINKING GREAT. I decanted it for 3 hours. It was worth the wait! — 9 years ago
I kinda laugh when people hold up Lioco and Idlewild as great examples of wine from Mendocino. Graziano Family of Wines have been doing "New California" long before the hip New-Cal wineries in Mendocino began to appear. Let's have some respect for the history there. Anyway, this 2011 Aglianico is SEAMLESS. That's the only way to describe it in sum. The nose had nice fruit compote, Clay, oak, salinity. Palate is medium+, balanced, and again, seamless. Low pH around 3.45, high TA. Aged two years in French oak. Cost: 21 dollars wine club pricing. — 10 years ago

— 6 years ago

Another stunner from Greg Graziano, from his "Enotria" label. 2013 Cortese. Grown in Mendocino benchlands. Barrel fermented. No malolactic. Sur lie aged three months. Low ph, 3.1. Beautiful wine. — 10 years ago

I didn't know I liked Zinfandel. The one is dry & delicious. Aged nicely too. — 9 years ago
Great wine from Greg Graziano. Scored for 21 bucks as a club member. 27 months in barrel. As usual, low pH (3.5), great acid. Not a huge, high pH, Lodi or Napa zin. Italian primitivo-styled; more medium bodied. Amazing deal at 21 bucks. Only complaint is that it is a touuuuch hot in the finish. Other than that its a rocker. Great spice, clay, blueberry/raspberry compote on the nose. — 10 years ago
