Very nice. Blackberry and a little cocoa. Slight tannins. I’m a fan. — 8 years ago

Nostril notes of briny oysters, golden raisin, clover honey, burnt cedar, vine charcoal. Big palatal forefront of cinnamon roll, coffee cake, candied lemon and laquer in a complex, satisfyingly rich finish! — 9 years ago
Quite tasty. Good Anderson valley fruit, it's distinct from the RRV and Sonoma coast...Dirty nose featuring plenty of barnyard, but some nice red ripe fruit as well on the palate. Sadly just a tad too hot, at 14.5%abv. Makes for excellent BBQ wine however. — 10 years ago
Wow really a great Pinot, more full bodied than most pinots I've had, impressive — 10 years ago

Drinking 2009 in 2017. Unfiltered/unfined. Earthy and delish! From Raye's Hill Vyd. Love it!! — 9 years ago

Our fav red so far.. 🍷 ♥ — 10 years ago
Legit. Perhaps not as complex as some of its contemporaries but also much less expensive and absolutely worth it. — 10 years ago

I've always been "in like" with Gordon Estate, but never truly fell for their wines...until tonight.
The bouquet alone is worth the price of admission! Okay so here we go: Blackberries, red currants, cinnamon, roasted red peppers, kalamata olives, dark chocolate, blueberries, anise, and hints of clove and vanilla. (Breathe.)
The flavors are full of ripe, fleshy red and blue fruits with hints of skin tang to keep it focused.
I'm picking nits when I critique a finish that I believe should be longer, but if Jeff Gordon told me to, "Shut up, and enjoy the show" I would.
I will remember the night I enjoyed this wine, and if you have the opportunity to try some by all means do it!!! — 8 years ago
Tasties like a lite red that faded.... Smooth, fruitful and delicious. Always a great producer. — 9 years ago
Root beer nose with pine sap tendrils, caraway seed, carmelized coffee and tea biscuit, and rosemary. Tastes of pine nettle, peppercorn, brine and caramel smoke. — 9 years ago
I’m not familiar with Tempranillo, so I am unsure what its specific contribution to the wine is. I can only compare the wine to the Brothers and Sisters cabernet I’ve recently fallen in love with.
By George shares the same elegance as its sister wine, with a more savoury core, eschewing some sweetness and vibrancy, for darker more brooding flavours. Dark plum, cherry and dried blueberry fruits set the scene, but it’s the smoky cured meats, volcanic rock, cedar and tobacco on the mid and back palate that bring the party to life. It’s a flavour profile I haven’t encountered before, but I like it a lot. The soft tannins are well integrated, the balance slightly acidic, but not objectionable, lending a lingering spiciness to the finish.
Another Fox Gordon masterpiece. The love affair continues… — 10 years ago
