Green gold in glass; the warmer it gets, the more the toffee, butterscotch and fresh pineapple pours from the glass. But it's the mid-palate and finish that raises this wine to amazing levels. Surprisingly rich and weighty, but smooth silken pure grace that lingers with hints of mango, ripe cantaloupe and wave after wave of Dole golden pineapple. I adore this wine! — 9 years ago

CA Montrachet. Mellow peach, golden apple fruit, ambitiously balanced. Not as zippy as CIX — 9 years ago
Served slightly chilled. Golden color. Nose of lemon and gasoline. Full body with stone fruit and a medium finish. Lovely. — 10 years ago
While a little more golden in color than anticipated, it was a beautiful wine with some great grilled bread and apple notes. — 10 years ago

Rich and amber-hued, this dessert wine offering from cult winery, Sine Qua Non is crafted from 100% botrytized Viognier. Harvested at 42 brix, it's a remarkable elixir that offers up notes of ripe apricot, orange marmalade, mace and vanilla. Concentrated, waxy and viscous. There is enough acidity to bolster hedonistic flavors of bruised pear, golden raisin, clover honey and whole cloves on the finish. Ample spice notes gather like an impending storm on the tip of the tongue. Exotic and very memorable. — 11 years ago
Love it when out of town regulars can't take open bottles with them! Littorai is always a treat! Dense core of golden fruit, floral spices, flinty smoke, butterscotch. — 11 years ago

Slate and chalk driven minerality are backed by golden apple and subtle tropical fruit on the nose. Palate has excellent balance with fresh squeezed lemon and lemon grass notes bouncing around on vibrant acidity. Finishes with sense of creaminess and persistence. Drink or hold. — 8 years ago
Medium to deep golden yellow with a greenish hue. A touch of oak on the nose with toasty notes, lemon curd, and banana. Medium to high acidity (6.5/10), full bodied and round. Rich on the palate with citrus, lemon and intense tropical notes. Long and lingering finish. Better when slightly chilled. Drink till 2020. — 8 years ago
Showing some age. Golden. — 9 years ago
At first the oak was over whelming but after an hour the bold rich golden flavored melded. The finish is stunning. — 10 years ago
Very clean tasting with mild hops. Nice low alcohol for an afternoon drink. — 10 years ago

Really nice and round. Nice oak and golden raisin, peach and floral notes on the palate, really nice peach aromas, also a slight minerality on the back end. Really well done! Slightly buttery too. — 11 years ago
Wow, what a Chardonnay! The gorgeous golden color in the glass led to wonderful, lush aromas of mangoes, peaches, citrus and wet stone with wonderful underlying notes of creamy, buttery oak. The palate is full-bodied and as lush as the nose along with bright, balancing acidity. Flavors of white peach and citrus and balanced out but crushed, wet stone. The finish lingers with the crisp acidity and citrus. Awesome! — 8 years ago
A really beautiful New World Chardonnay. Initial notes of golden apple and a touch of pineapple. Balanced acidity and oakiness come through as lemon curd and vanilla. — 9 years ago
Great start to the #f1 season with a beer a good friend brought to the house. Delicious and refreshing. 🍻🍻🍻 — 10 years ago
Golden straw in color with white flower and tropical fruit on the nose. Medium body and slightly buttery palate are balanced by a substantial amount of acid. The cool Carneros climate and high acidity make for an excellent Chablisian-style wine that paired well with smoked fish. — 10 years ago

Great acidity is there, with golden fuji apples, tart Asian pears, honey, yellow blossoms, and pine nuts. — 10 years ago
The golden colour with its creamy buttery nutty aroma still draws me in like the 2011 bottle did. The peach and melon flavours became the backbone of its savoury and slightly smokey characters. The sweet sensation from its high alcohol content makes tasting this wine almost like eating a pudding with a layer of caramel - like the Taiwanese's favourite Tong Yi pudding if you have ever had it. — 11 years ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Rombauer Vineyards was founded in 1982 by Koerner and Joan Rombauer and sits on a tree covered knoll overlooking the Napa Valley. The winery features caves that extend for over a mile into the hillside. Golden straw with aromas of stone and tropical fruit with sweet oak spice scents. On the palate peach, melon and apple, with soft vanilla spice, rich & creamy. Lingering smooth finish, well balanced ending with mineral notes. — 7 years ago
