Threw a few of these in the cellar just to see what would happen. Finally coming into its own in Hour 2. Dark blue black fruits, nice acidity, balanced. Really nice. Great for Sunday pasta and red sauce. — 3 years ago

Nice sour cherry taste to it. Pretty balanced and opened up to have pine needle Forrest kind of aromas. Merry Christmas all — 11 years ago
Deep garnet color. Aromas of bright/ripe/sweet red fruit, rose petals, charcoal and light oak. Ripe red cherry and plum fruit on the palate with hints of sweet spices. Long finish with pleasant notes of wood smoke. Juicy tannins and quite elegant for such a young Nebbiolo based wine. Quite fresh and invigorating. Thanks for sharing, Keith S. — 10 months ago

Very interesting. Super dark but very bright. Lots of juicy acidity and jammy. Not very tannic, medium to light bodied but with a lot of up-front savoriness. Strawberries, unripe blackberry, even some citrus peel, prune, some blue ballpoint pen, and funkiness. From Shawn's. — 9 years ago
Dark fruit and tannins but high acid make a great balance — 10 years ago
Didn't get the spiel on this one -- seemed slightly leesy but dunno if that's the case — 11 years ago
Decanted for about nine hours. Fresh raspberries, cherries, and a bit of mushrooms. Very elegant. Full-bodied, but not quite as powerful as other Barolos I’ve had over the years. — 10 months ago

Hitting its stride. Well balanced with smooth finish. Dare I say a little Burgundian - very light with a touch of cherry. — 8 years ago

Wonderful plums and dark fruits with a hint of leather on the palate and nose. Enjoyed it with an eggplant-sun dried tomato pasta and chicken sautéed in an Italian odori base. Fabuloso! — 10 years ago
This went better with the grouper. — 10 years ago

At first a blast of dark fruit, plum, blueberries, black currants and violet. Then a hint of green pepper then chocolate and wood. Super smooth integrated tannins, tiniest bit grippy at the end. Finish is loooong. Later as it opened some black tea also. Super. — 9 months ago
