Very nice, dense, rich in flavour barbaresco. Getting better after good breath. Balanced tanins, just a little bit to acidity side. — 10 months ago

2003 Nice nose, deep red with some browning of the edges & a dry complex medium body with decent complexity & a long aftertaste. — 8 years ago
This is very elegant & harmonious.
Dark sour cherry with some crushed stone and a pinch of orange peel & herbs. Fresh. Juicy.
On the palate this is very smooth, juicy, with great flow and beautiful balance. The 14.5% alc perfectly integrated.
Nice depth & length, too. — 9 months ago

Magnificent super Tuscan. In the same class as Tignanello. Beautiful, ready to drink. Decant it if you can but it's fine to pop and pour, swirl and go! — 7 years ago
Crisp and fruity. I had it in Barolo grill. — 8 years ago

Cassis, flowers. On the “big” side but still light on its feet. Very woody. — 4 years ago
Pop and pour. Vinous note suggested early drinking, CT tasting notes suggest waiting. Split the difference? I was expecting a fruit-forward modern-styled barolo, and while this definitely leans modern, it is not over-the-top. In fact, quite charming at this stage. On the nose: classic blood orange, soft florals, but modern sandalwood inflections, with some dried strawberry secondary notes. On the palate: excellent acidity, bitter herbs, dried raspberry, dried sage, and soft plum. Serious tannin kicks in, but the finish is juicy enough that most food pairings will soften the tannic blow. Tipping the scales at a burly 14.5% ABV, but this is surprisingly nimble. I really enjoyed this... — 5 years ago
