The perfect Pinot Noir, we are drinking the 2011 and it's fantastic. 1760.00 pesos which equals 95 dollars at La Casa Del Agua in Playa del Carmen. — 8 years ago
@David A Lentine holding this beauty. Of course, since I can't tag @Martin G Rivard I'm listing him here. — 9 years ago

My buddy Luke is moving to New York next week and knowing he enjoys young Napa cabs, I thought this would be a good bottle to open as a send off! This was my first Cult that I was able to purchase when visiting last year (though I’m well aware of its fanfare on here, especially from Martin “Beau Rivard” @Martin G Rivard)
Not quite pop and pour, but close. Another one of those ‘14s that epitomes the words “plush”. The fruits are so soft and pronounced...black and blue fruit, decadent milk chocolate, licorice and sweet oak. Obviously young on the palate but drinking quite well after an hour or so of being open. Lovely texture. Blueberry compote & plum on the finish. This is one of those wines that obviously benefits from time, but probably drinks better young than with substantial age. 👌 — 7 years ago
Way better than expected! Delicious! — 8 years ago
A group of guys decided to meet up at our Wine Storage facility and bust out some unique bottles! Scores and notes to follow!
I have two of these courtesy of the man, the myth, the legend, @Martin G Rivard . WOW. Out of the 15+ wines that were opened tonight, this was easily in the top half, if not near the top 5. Intoxicating nose. Cork was basically black. Blueberry compote and blackberry preserves on the nose. Vanilla and plum finish. Hands down the best mixed black wine I've tasted to date. Martin, THANK YOU! — 8 years ago
Great wine, hurrah for D. Phinney — 8 years ago
A solid 95 pointer,
I agree with everything @Ron R had to say, except I would say semi ripe raspberry.
Not ripe raspberry, get it straight Ron!

4th Friday of the month means another monthly Classic happy hour! Great wines, great people.
This was my contribution last night. One of the more profound Cali chards I’ve come across. Powerhouse! The richness and front palate power is very similar to Kongsgaard. Viscous. The notes are honeyed, but not lean...not even compared to the Aubert that was on the table with it. Not overly buttery, more just high quality chard that commands your attention. Mexican vanilla, toasted almonds, and honeyed brioche. The finish goes on forever...lots of cashew, melon, and coconut shell. No stone/tropical fruits here. An absolutely KILLER bottle, @Martin G Rivard , thank you for the intro here! — 7 years ago
Smooth as silk; yet, great structure & elegant finish paired with spinach, shrimp & scallop lasagna in Delta One on way to Amsterdam — 8 years ago
Such a solid hook up @Martin G Rivard. Vanilla and citrus have developed on the nose as time has passed. Fruit perseveres, tannins have settled. So good! — 8 years ago
My first Demi-Sev 1938 from a pristine bottle. No significant RS left in the structure but you could see how important the sugar was to carry on until today incredible aromatics. Still very concentrated and powerful. The second vintage of Gaston Huet at the end of the estate making the wines. — 8 years ago
