Elegant and penetrating. The austerity of the ultrabrut style is redeemed in the persistent pear-fruited finish. — 10 years ago
Beautiful aromas of yeast, mangos, guava and a whole lot of sexy time — 10 years ago
Actually this is the Brut Nature, aged longer before disgorgement (26mo) and no dosage. One of my favorite pairings with (difficult) artichokes. — 12 years ago

Youthful, vivacious, light on its feet, with an untamed side as with many Laval wines. Iron, rose and cherry nose; palate is bone dry with the echo of red berries, cherry, blood orange and rhubarb and smoky mineral finish. — 10 years ago

This, on the other hand, has no VA issues, just an insane variety of aromas and flavors. Barnyardy funk, spices (cinnamon even?), along with what I swear comes off as garlic to me. I'd like a bit more body though, and it seems pretty tannic still. A few years in bottle will probably do this some good, but this is unique and fun to drink anytime. #ganevatwednesdays — 10 years ago
