Really, really good shit! Not masterful, not perfect....but classic, honest and un-barriqued! — 10 years ago
Cardamom, fresh cut hay, green peas on the nose. The palate really jumps out with raisins, currants, and fig. A delicate little truffle note hides in the backdrop with a strong cherry core. Save for a special chocolate dessert. — 10 years ago
The 2008 Fratelli Serio and Battista Borgogno Nebbiolo d'Alba is a really tasty treat. 100% Nebbiolo, mainly from Diano D'Alba, it has a pretty ruby color and a nice smoky aroma. You'll get a mouthful of spice and raspberries upon tasting it. Definitely fruitier than most of the classic Piedmont varietals, this wine still obviously has years to mature and turn into something really special. — 10 years ago

Love the Piedmonts. A little chalky at first but opened up to apricots and floral. But stayed mineral at the finish — 7 years ago
