Lovely rose old vines blend 50% codega do Larihno, 30% rabigato, 20% viosihno. Unfiltered upper Douro schist soil terroir bleeds through. 6 months on Fr & Amer. Oak vanillin rounds out this open easy drinking profile. I had this with a watermelon arugula & feta salad with a light creamy herb dressing... wonderful! $15 — 9 years ago

Brought this delicious little nugget back with us from our visit to Alsace, FR. Beautiful, old world dry white with earthy, white truffle delights. My recommendation? Hold this one if you're able restrain yourself for about 10 more years. Yes, I said 10 years. The wines from this region prove themselves to deliver something even more special with time. — 10 years ago

First taste was a bit more tannin than I like but after letting the wine sit a little longer, the more it became silky. The wine has a berry profile with a hint of vanilla finish, but not too sweet. Overall, a solid year and wine fr Stags. — 10 years ago
for former Palo Altans who assumed Kirks "steakburgers" went the way of Miyake, Kirks still lives! (in Town & Country ctr); here with a smuggled-in bottle of rich, dried berry/savory "Gaillac" 09 (red blend fr sw #France) courtesy of Alder Yarrow — 10 years ago
